Brust was a friend of Zelazny's & said his work was influenced by him. He wrote one of the intros in the NESFA Collected Works, too. This is a topic to discuss Brust's work.

Zelazny wrote an introduction for To Reign in Hell too.I've read lots of Brust, mainly his Vlad Taltos series. Good stuff.
I really liked the early Taltos novels. The first few are among my very favorites. The last few have been growing a bit stale. I think I have one new one that I haven't read yet. He's written some other great stuff, like Brokedown Palace. The Khaavren Romances which start with The Phoenix Guards were pretty good, too. Love the way he writes in Dumas' style. I couldn't stomach Cowboy Feng's Space Bar and Grille, but I have issues with comedic novels. I don't like Prachett or Douglas Adams either, though. Now The Gypsy & Agyar are both pretty good. I guess I like his dark stuff the best.
I've read the Taltos books through Orca, which I didn't like as well as the earlier ones. That's probably why I haven't gotten back to them.He also wrote a Firefly novel that was pretty decent: My Own Kind of Freedom: A Firefly Novel
I've got that on my wish list on BookMooch & PBS & have for a year or two. Probably should just get around to just buying it. I loved Firefly.
That's why it hasn't come up, then. Damn.... It's not even on PBS any more, but the BookMooch one says it's a paperback. Guess it's messed up. Thanks.
