Upon entering my local book store, I was pleased to find
A Purely Private Matter

which will be familiar with those of us who discussed with Darcie Wilde this past Autumn.

Have you all made any interesting book finds lately, pertaining to Regency-related fiction or nonfiction, Austen, or other connections?

I just got my copy also! Currently reading Julie McElwain's Kendra Donovan mysteries. A female FBI agent gets pulled back in time to 1815 England where she helps solve murder cases. Very fun reading.

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) | 513 comments Great! Thanks for letting us know, Sarah! I did enjoy the first in the series.

Not quite as recent (came out last year), but has anyone else read Edgar and Emma: A Novel After Jane Austen by Robert Rodi? It’s based on one of the fragmentary stories Jane Austen wrote as a child. Very, very well done and clever! He every once in a while strays a bit into slapstick, but then again, JA’s juvenilia often did as well. Highly recommended.
