This is an unusual case, in that I have the actual book, but both covers are missing, the name on the spine is torn off, and the first and last few pages are gone. (I've had it for a very long time.) It's a book with a little story or poem for every day of the year, with cute illustrations. It's definitely British. Some recurring characters are Katie Kitten, Sophie and her magic bed, Noah and the animals in his Park, and Doctor Dog and Nurse Kitty. I've tried searching with bits of text online; it didn't work.

A Year Full of Stories by Georgie Adams? You can look inside on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Year-Full-St... Noah, Sophie, Doctor Dog and Nurse Kitty are there :)
I'm not especially good. Just luck: it was one of the results in worldcat.org for keywords search: "day of the year" london, and then I searched for inside pictures and there they were.
Ayshe is being modest. She's fantastic at finding forgotten books.
Perhaps I know what she means about luck. Choosing the right keywords that happen to appear in certain book reviews feels like happenstance at times. But persistence definitely pays off in this game.

Thank you, Kris.Lobstergirl wrote: "I suck at it! Persistence never pays off for me."
You have discovered plenty of forgotten books.
Sometimes when book is found (based on someone's memories) I go to look which subjects/keywords is has on worldcat (or search in google) and there's practically no information. So, yes, persistence pays off but some books do not have enough online "presence" to be found through searches (or they have it, just not at the place you look for).
Ayshe found one of my I'd been looking for for five or six years. (Portal to E'erwhere--can't find a link. I may be misspelling it. But I did read it and it was as good as I'd remembered.)
:) Reminded me of "Leonard's Day" in Big Bang Theory.Leonard: So, do I get breakfast in bed on Leonard’s Day?
Sheldon: No.
Leonard: Can I sit in your spot?
Sheldon: No.
Leonard: Can I control the thermostat?
Sheldon: No.
Leonard: Do I get a card?
Sheldon: Of course you get a card. It’s Leonard’s Day.
You haven't watched it, Rosa? Sheldon had cats in the episode he and Amy "terminated" their relationship :)
I watched the clip you mentioned. It was funny! I've seen bits of it here and there, but I don't watch TV very much.
