It has been over 20 years since I read this, but I loved it - and his other books - esp. Blackwater series
Hope you enjoy it! If you're familiar with 'The Amulet' you'll know how great of a writer he is, but it's a completely different style of horror with this one. He was a master. Let me know what you think!
I bought The Amulet a month or so back but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm off to buy this one now. I'm very excited because so many people have told me how great his work is. :)
Edited to add that I shared this on Facebook and I saw that Jon did too. Hope it helps you! It's great to see some of these old works become available again.

That you so much for reprinting this! I cherish my worn and tattered copy and am looking forward to owning a fresh copy. Are there any plans to reprint "A Cold Moon Over Babylon"?

Book Description
A haunted house story unlike any other, Michael McDowell’s The Elementals (1981) was one of the finest novels to come out of the horror publishing explosion of the 1970s and ’80s. Though best known for his screenplays for Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas, McDowell is now being rediscovered as one of the best modern horror writers and a master of Southern Gothic literature. This edition of McDowell’s masterpiece of terror features a new introduction by award-winning horror author Michael Rowe. McDowell’s first novel, the grisly and darkly comic The Amulet (1979), is also available from Valancourt Books.
Available worldwide in paperback & Kindle. Visit the Valancourt Books website below for more information on the book and the author. And feel free to browse our Horror catalogue for more new editions of long out-of-print horror literature.
