I've never read any of Vampire Academy or the spinoff series and I've never seen the movie but I've always meant to get into the series so I am happy to participate! It's been literally ages since I read the Vampire Academy series. I think I started them when I was in middle school? I honestly don't remember. But I know that I greatly enjoyed them. My name is Shannon, and I am probably the oldest member of this group at 36. Lol I first read this series a LONG time ago (as the books were published, starting in 2007), and it remains one of my "get out of a reading slump" go-to series. Is it perfect? No. Is is bloody enjoyable? Absolutely!!!! Hello! I'm Mafer! The first time I read VA was probably 8 years ago and since then it's been my favorite series. I've reread them a couple of times, but my last time was before the last Bloodlines books came out. So I decided to reread them again.

I really missed the characters and the world. Rose is my favorite character of all time.

Hi, I'm Gina. I'm a grandmother raising grandchildren...yes, I'm old...lol. We somehow got the movie saved on our DVR and it's watched probably once or twice per month around here, sometimes even more like once per week.

I was thinking about the movie one evening about 3 weeks ago and thought I'd like to read the book. Then I found there were MORE books. So I went to the library and checked all the Richelle Mead books associated to Vampire Academy/Bloodlines and started reading. The third book was missing and the library didn't have it. So I googled the title and found them all online, free, and read all 12 books in a few days. I was so happy to have found them.

I'm not quite satisfied yet, so many unanswered questions. and I'm looking forward to this reading group so that I can be part of a discussion about each book.

To those who haven't read the series yet, I hope you fall in love with the characters and find you love them as much as the rest of the fans do.
