War has come to Melengar and once more Royce and Hadrian are hired to make a desperate gamble and form an alliance with the Nationalists whom are fighting the Imperialists in the south. As the power of the Nyphron Empire grows, so does Royce's suspicion that the wizard Esrahaddon is using the thieves as pawns in his own grab for power. To find the truth, he must unravel the secret of Hadrian's past--what he discovers may end their friendship and break Riyria in two.

So I apparently can't remember much of volume 1, because I couldn't remember anything about an empress! It's been slowly coming back to me though

And I just wish Royce would tell him. I don't think Hadrian will take it well if he finds out that Royce has been hiding something like this for a long time (hide spoiler)]

3 days for an 800 page book is pretty fast! I think I'll take about 5 😅

Wait wait. I've got 26 chapters in this thing. A chapter and a half every day will take over 17 days. You sure you want to go that slow? I can go much faster lol

Hadrian and Royce are such a great duo aren't they? They balance each other out so well :)

Not sure if I will get started tonight or not. I want to read more of The Way of Kings. I wasn't able to get as to this like I had hoped. But if not tonight then tomorrow for sure. :)

Nyphron Rising
I managed to get 10 chapters read and oh wow this is an awesome book.

Wow, you got through a lot! So excited to get into it.

I'm up to chapter 28 I have read it in the car while doing deliveries yesterday and today. Normally I would read a bit each day and make comments but it has been so good I have not wanted to stop. So I will comment with you as you go.

Haven't been able to get any of this yet. But I will be reading today, hopefully. So glad you've liked it and I can't wait to discuss it with you more! You made it through really quickly!

It was a great book so I got it done in 2 days :) I just hope you like it also.

I'm sure I will. I've been loving everything this man writes, so I don't see this being an exception. :)

Through chapter 9. (view spoiler)[Arista is really growing on me. I can't believe she boiled those guys to death! I was worried about her.

And I love Royce and Hadrian. It's nice to see all the sides of their relationship. I just can't believe that Hadrian hadn't considered that Royce would miss having him around.

I'll probably start Heir of Novron on Wednesday or Thursday.

I just got my copy so I will start it in the morning :)
