I agree Ngaio. I'm currently reading it and feel it is very much like Kate DeGoldi's books. I'm a little unsure who I would recommend it to though. I think you're right about it being for sophisticated readers.
Yes, I have such a range of readers at my school. Would be good for Highschool too. Possibly a great book to recommend to parents with teenagers dealing with a death in the family. I loved the language in this book but for some it might be a barrier to engage with the content. Not for me though :)Zac wrote: "I agree Ngaio. I loved The 10pm Question and I thought I was going to love Zeustian Logic also, after reading the first 1/4 of the book. But then the pace seemed to drop and I started to lose my enthusiasm for the story, and overall I'm sorry to say I found it a bit unsatisfactory. Let's just say it would be a perfect read if you want to read about [POSSIBLE SPOILER] how to deal with a tragic incident where what exactly happened will never be explained, but I think it will be less satisfactory for people who like a definite resolution to a story with all the ends neatly tied up. Definitely for sophisticated readers, in fact, more sophisticated than me... :-)

It reminded me a little of the 10pm question. I loved the astrology theme throughout. It really gave the book a spin of it's own.
Possibly a good read aloud. For sophisticated readers - Some of the Astronomy language would be a good extension for some readers.
