The group voted to read the Fiction nominee, All the Ugly and Wonderful Things in June. The winner for this genre was Truly Madly Guilty. Have you read any of the other nominees for this award? Which have you read and what did you think? Which was your favorite?

Do you plan to read any of them in the future? How about setting up a buddy read of one that you are interested in this month? Use this thread to discuss and find a buddy!

Schedule buddy reads here, then set up a separate thread to discuss.

I read My Name Is Lucy Barton (2★). I had really high hopes for it, but I found it to be incredibly boring. I was really disappointed, though many of my GR friends loved it.

I also read Truly Madly Guilty (4★) and Small Great Things (5★). I thought they were both great.

I eventually would like to read Lily and the Octopus, but think I will need to be in the mood for a tear jerker before I start. I also kind of want to read The Nix, which is a bit chunky. I feel like there are usually more fiction nominees that I'm really interested in reading.

Eyvonne | 1 comments I would like to buddy up with you and read Truly Madly Guilty, although I have not done this before, so not sure if I know how? :)
That book is by the same author as Big, Little, Lies? Right? I liked that one. I don't have a copy of the book but will get it soon, just let me know what to do next. Thanks
Eyvonne Carter

Hi, Eyvonne. It is the same author. I enjoyed Truly Madly Guilty, though Big, Little, Lies is still my favorite by her.

Dawn, did you see Eyvonne's reply? I don't know if you've read it already, but I figured I'd bump this in case you missed it.
