What's The Weather Like Today?!!!
Well, the weather here today is raining. ITs been like that all week. It's fine with me except when I have to walk the kids to the busstop. The weekends are beautiful though, so I'll take the rain during the week.
Oh DA you're in the South East! Lucky thing. You guys always get the best!!! I'm in the Midlands.
It's raining, again. We live in NE Oklahoma in a part of the state nicknamed Green Country because there are so many trees and other greenery. Not what many people picture for Oklahoma, but our reality. We usually have a rainy March-into-early-May, but this year it was dry then, and now we have have had a great deal of rain late May and now into June.
It is actually lovely.
It has been raining here in tn but we got a respite from it today. It'll prob start raining again here in Middle tn starting tomorrow.

Very true. I never would have associated greenery with Oaklahoma. Sounds nice. What kind of temps do you get this time of year?

Janet,Yes, even people from other States think all of Oklahoma is dry. Take a look at our picture (Avatar) to see the trees in the background. The photo was taken in our back yard.
It will be in the mid to high 80's today. By the end of June it will be in the high 90's and maybe reach 100. July and August can be extremely hot and muggy with 100+ temps for days on end. These are the times when one just stays inside as much as possible.
Warm, muggy and rainy here in Virginia. VA is dripping wet all summer. Lots of severe thunderstorms and an occasional hurricane - although we're a couple of hours inland and just barely make the hurricane zone. Janet - OK is pretty my 4 distinct states geographically, right? So I bet it varies tremendously as you drive from one part to another.

I see you have lived in Prague, one of my favorite cities. I bet you knew Richard Katrovas, the Director of the Prague Summer Program for Writers (Western Michigan University). I attended the program in 2006. Arnost Lustig was to be our primary instructor, but health issues caused him to sit out that year and Richard stepped in to teach the classes Lustig could not. The program was a magical experience in an enchanted city.
All the best,
Cynthia (The Garrett half of Garrett Smith)
Hot Hot here in Jersey 24 c.
Think my wife and I have picked a good two weeks holiday, so far.

Lunch out, gardening, reading in the garden, now playing tennis for 2-3 hours this evening, what could be better... Not going back to work I guess...
And Murray not playing so badly I guess, although Stepanek playing very well...
Britian enjoy the sun....LOL... Hope it last for another two weeks while I am off ...

Four countries ie. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland makes up Great Britain.
The further north you go ie. towards Scotland the weather is a little cooler on average to say London, but other than that, it doesn't vary that much. Southern parts tend to get the higher temperatures.

I still think of it as Hometown, because it is. My parents are still there.

How nervous did that make you? LOL. Much I would think. That is something to be proud of! I took a look at your book, The Bone Church: A Novel, and added it to my TBR.

Several years back, during a trip through England and Scotland, I had to buy a big bulky sweater. IT WAS IN JULY! I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Rain , rain , and more rain here in Montreal. Should be a beautiful, sunny weekend. Perfect to do BBQ while watching the Italy - England game tomorrow night. Forza Azzurri!!!
Hot and humid in the morning, heavy thurndershowers in the afternoon, coolish in the evening. Weather in south Florida is pretty good right now. And all the rain is helping put out the fires in the Everglades.
We had some rain overnight but it looks like it is going to be another beautiful day! Still got to sort out the England flag ready for tonight's game. :D
Highs in the 80F lows in the 70's. No rain today, but should have storms tomorrow night. It should be a good weekend to celebrate Father's Day here in the USA.
Jersey, lovely and sunny today again, had a great week of sunny weather.
Great for our Craft Show today, very hot.

Sunny and high 70s today, just beautiful, but the pine pollen is outrageous out there!
Hot Hot hot!! We hit a record high of 97 degrees F today in the nations capital. With the heat index it was over 100. We stayed inside today.
