What's The Weather Like Today?!!!

Oh DA you're in the South East! Lucky thing. You guys always get the best!!! I'm in the Midlands.

We usually have a rainy March-into-early-May, but this year it was dry then, and now we have have had a great deal of rain late May and now into June.
It is actually lovely.

Very true. I never would have associated greenery with Oaklahoma. Sounds nice. What kind of temps do you get this time of year?

Yes, even people from other States think all of Oklahoma is dry. Take a look at our picture (Avatar) to see the trees in the background. The photo was taken in our back yard.
It will be in the mid to high 80's today. By the end of June it will be in the high 90's and maybe reach 100. July and August can be extremely hot and muggy with 100+ temps for days on end. These are the times when one just stays inside as much as possible.

Janet - OK is pretty my 4 distinct states geographically, right? So I bet it varies tremendously as you drive from one part to another.

Victoria,
I see you have lived in Prague, one of my favorite cities. I bet you knew Richard Katrovas, the Director of the Prague Summer Program for Writers (Western Michigan University). I attended the program in 2006. Arnost Lustig was to be our primary instructor, but health issues caused him to sit out that year and Richard stepped in to teach the classes Lustig could not. The program was a magical experience in an enchanted city.
All the best,
Cynthia (The Garrett half of Garrett Smith)
Hot Hot here in Jersey 24 c.
Think my wife and I have picked a good two weeks holiday, so far.
Since last Saturday sunny every day.
Lunch out, gardening, reading in the garden, now playing tennis for 2-3 hours this evening, what could be better... Not going back to work I guess...
And Murray not playing so badly I guess, although Stepanek playing very well...
Britian enjoy the sun....LOL... Hope it last for another two weeks while I am off ...

Four countries ie. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland makes up Great Britain.
The further north you go ie. towards Scotland the weather is a little cooler on average to say London, but other than that, it doesn't vary that much. Southern parts tend to get the higher temperatures.

I still think of it as Hometown, because it is. My parents are still there.

I didn't know Richard - he was there later than I was, but I did know Arnost Lustig. My theater company put on one of his plays and he attended!

Lustig was there! How nervous did that make you? LOL. Much I would think. That is something to be proud of! I took a look at your book, The Bone Church: A Novel, and added it to my TBR.

I love your rainy weather. Several years back, during a trip through England and Scotland, I had to buy a big bulky sweater. IT WAS IN JULY! I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
