(well they needed a place for a date. a lake was romantic. And its not scary with stuff lurking in it XD)
Ace looked at the lake and went over to it and dipped her hand in it the complete opposite of the dark lake.
"Its pretty isn't it?" He smiled at her
"Wanna go swimming? Or on a boat ride?" He would propose later. At sunset. It was a cliche but so perfect
"Good idea." he stripped down to his underwear and got in first."want me to close my eyes?" even though he'd seen it all he wanted her to be comfortable
Even though she felt a blush creep on her skin, Ace shook her head, "You've seen all there is." she said and stripped down to her underwear and went into the water and swam next to him.
"Is this our first real date?" He asked as they swam
"Yea." she nudged him, "What took you so long?"
"You could've asked me out." He argued."Plus with Delilah and our kidnappings we were a little busy don't you think?" He laughed

She giggled, "I'm sure Delilah will love to hear this story when she's older."
"Well she was a part of it." He grinned. Then he ducked under water. He swam to the bottom of the lake and picked up a stone that was red. He brought it back up and smiled at Ace."I got you something."
Ace smiled at Miles. Her Miles. Her funny goofy loveable Miles. She took the stone. "Its beautiful."
"It reminded me of you because your my red head." He kissed her softly
She smiled and kissed him back. "thanks." she whispered when they pulled apart.
He glanced up at the sky."Wanna get out yet?" He Asked
Ace shrugged and stuided him. Something was up. "Whats the hurry?"
He frowned."Aren't you cold too? C'mon. Don't make me sound like the girl in the relationship. Please tell me your cold too."
"You were always the girl in the relationship." She teased and kissed his cheek, "race ya back."
"That was mean." He laughed ."Okay. Go!" He shouted and started swimming
she laughed and swam after him until they were neck and neck.
"You can't beat me!" He shouted and kept trying to pull ahead but failing
Ace smiled and kept swimming and made it to shore before Miles. "That was fun!"
"Yeah. Cause you won." He muttered and trudged out behind her
"Aww." Ace went over and wrapped her arms around his neck. "We can try again later."
He grabbed onto her waist."You'd love that. You'd just win again."
"I love you." He kissed her forehead. He had grabbed the box when they got out and was hiding it behind him
"Well then..."He took a deep breath. He could do this. He let her go and knelt down on one knee, he opened the box and took her hand with his free one.
"Ace, Will you marry me?" Miles asked with a smile, praying she wouldn't hit him for this
Ace gasped and stared at him to shocked to speak. Out of everything she had imagine him saying it was never this.
Miles's smile faltered."Um...Ace. Your making me nervous." He bit his lip
Ace broke out her frozen state and hugged him tightly, "Yes! Yes!"
He sighed in relief."Thank god. I thought you were gonna yell at me or something." He smiled and hugged back
Ace hit the back of his head, "You thought I'd say no?"
"Ow." He muttered and rubbed his head."Shut up and let me do this." He grabbed her hand and slipped the ring on her ring finger.
He hugged her so she couldn't hit him for saying shut up
She smiled, "Shut up and let me do this." she cupped his cheeks and kissed him.
Miles kissed back happy she wasn't mad at him. Maybe the shut up and let me do this would be their new thing.
((XD))Ace pulled back and looked at Miles.
He smiled at her."Do you like the ring? If not I can get a new one..." He meant it
Ace looked at her hand, "Its amazing Miles."
"It took me awhile to pick it. It had to be perfect." He smiled "And I'm glad you think it is."
"I think anything would have been perfect." she kissed his cheek.
