(no white) - aren't the hand and lettering white?
Is this okay for a red and white cover, please? I'm pretty sure the background is red with white text, but just wanted to be sure. Thank you!
For option 2 Family Sagas on page 2 The Bonesetter's DaughterFor option 3 set in Canada When Calls the Heart

Thanks!
I'll choose between 2-3-4
Since I would have thought How to Set a Fire and Why was red and white, I suppose I should get my book checked...Would you consider
to be red and white?

Thanks for that additional check, Wayne. I'll definitely verify on reading.
Would this work for Option 4? Albeit that it's a kindle edition, and there doesn't seem to be a paperback with the same cover.
Wayne wrote: "As long as you actually read the Kindle version, it would be OK. There would only be a problem if there were no print edition you could use to determine page numbers. ..."Cheers, Wayne.

Thank you! This has been on my TBR ages so I'm very pleased to be able to read it for this challenge. :-)
Would either of these work
or
It is hard to see the red in this one, it is about 50% white, at the top and the letters, and there are streaks of red covering about 10%
One additional question for Wayne and/or mods - Option 1, if a book has more than one author, do both authors' initials have to be in SESQUICENTENNIAL?
Will either of these work for option 4? I checked out the first from the library, but they also have the 2nd:
For checking a book out from the library, does that mean we need to check a physical book out from a physical location, or can we check a digital book out online?
Hi, just wondering about the 2 questions I asked. For the library question, I use my library card to check out the ebooks if that makes a difference.

On July 1st, we Canadians will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of our great country! You can help us celebrate by completing 2 of the following options. Because this will be a huge celebration, the total page count for the two options must be at least 600 pages.
Option 1: Another term for a 150th anniversity is sesquicentennial. Read a book by an author whose first, last, and any middle initials are found in the word SESQUICENTENNIAL. Letters may only be used as often as they appear in the word.
Option 2: The Ottawa celebration will be hosted by our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. His father, Pierre Trudeau, narrowly missed hosting the centennial party, as he didn't become PM until April of 1968 (he was the Justice Minister in 1967, however). To honor the Trudeau family, read a book from one of these lists about family relationships:
Best Books About Family Relationships.
Best Family Sagas.
Option 3: My library, the Calgary Public Library, is challenging its patrons to read 150 books this year. Ha! This is nothing to us hardened SRCers! They are also encouraging us to read more Canadian books. For this option, read a book that a) you checked out from a library and b) is set at least 50% in Canada.
REQUIRED: state in your post that this book was checked out from the library. If the setting is not evident on the book's main page include a reference or quote from the book when you post.
Option 4: One of my favorite Canada Day activities, but which I will be especially looking forward to participating in this year, is the Living Flag picture. People either stand in the red part of the flag wearing a red shirt or in a white part of the flag wearing a white shirt (T-shirts are supplied for the first 3000 arrivals). Once everyone is set up, a photographer takes an aerial photo of us happy, cheering Canadians. Then, the picture appears in the local newspapers the following day! I can honestly say I've been on the front page of both our papers!
Read a book with a cover that is at least 50% red/white. Both red and white MUST appear on the cover, however, it does not matter how much is red and how much is white, as long as the total is 50%. REQUIRED: Include the cover in your post
Happy Canada Day everyone!
