Set a goal to read a certain number of pages or for a certain number of minutes every day, and then see how many days you can keep your chain intact. If it helps, use an easy app like chains.cc (link here) to keep track.

As with all goals, make sure it's SMART:
Specific
Measurable (you'll be able to know if you reached it)
Appropriate/Achievable (not too hard, not too easy)
Relevant (to you and your interests)
Time-Based (summer!)

Rianna | 2 comments My goal is to read at least 25 pages per day. I think this would be challenging since my summer is busy and it would help me to read more, especially when I could be doing other things. Though this is challenging I think I will be able to do it for the summer. It will allow me to be able to read more books than I normally do and it would allow me to be able to choose the book I read.

Josh Busby | 2 comments My Goal is to actually read and finish a book on my own free will. I haven't liked any books I've started recently and never finished any books since middle school.

Alani Vo | 1 comments My goal is to read 30 pages a day by keeping reminders on my phone and having a dedicated time to read. This allows me to get away from technology; time wise, plane rides and car rides will get me to exceed the 30 page goal!

Avery | 1 comments My goal is to read at least 30 pages a day. This is a good goal for me because I often forget to read and I hope that this will bring my love for reading back.

Gillian Peden | 2 comments My goal is to read at least 25 pages a day, and actually finish at least 2 books. I have had trouble finishing books in the past but I plan to change that this summer. Reading at least 25 pages a day will be a good challenge for me. This will allow me take a break from technology and find the time out of my busy summer schedule to relax and enjoy a book.

Ashley Ma | 1 comments My goal is to read at least 30 minutes and 25 pages every day. I have some free time, and I'm excited to read some good books this summer.

Eleazar Aguilera | 7 comments I don't really know or have a specific number in mind. However I will try to read about 20-30 pages every day to keep myself busy. My summer is pretty packed so I will try my hardest.

Nikki Lallatin | 5 comments My goal is to read at least 10 pages of a book a a day and to finish at least 3 books this summer. I have/will continue doing this by setting aside a small amount of time every night before bed to make sure that I'm getting at least a small amount of reading done.

Jordan Larsen | 2 comments I thought I posted this much earlier in the year, but I suppose I was wrong. My goal is that I balance my reading and my writing more. I read books more than I write my own short fictional pieces of writing, and I need to put more time down to write more so I build those skills further. An extension of my goal is to continue to post pieces of writing I have on my website, so I can have some sort of audience if people are interested in reading it.

Sebastian Duffy | 2 comments Well since i have a full time job over the summer, working around 40+ hours a week it's hard for me to find time to read between sleeping and working. For this reason i'll set my goal at a low 15 pages a day.
