The Forsaken
question
Just a quick comparison question.

I am interested in this, but at the same time a bit leery. The summary sounds so much like the Divergent trilogy to me that it kind of puts me off. I half expect plagiarism. Can someone tell me if it is really as similar as the summary makes it out to be? I understand "there is nothing new under the sun" but that seems a bit much. Even the names are similar.

It's not a similar as it sounds. Now, I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to similar plot lines, so I guess you'll have to take what I say with a grain of salt, but I do remember them as fairly different.
That whole first paragraph of the summery though, takes place by the time the first chapter (or maybe 2, I can't remember) is done. Most of the story is set on an island, following the interactions between two tribes of young adults with the main character trying to figure out just what is going on.

I don't think this book is like Divergent at all. I would say it is more similar to The Maze Runner and Legend.
Definitely not like Divergent. Especially at the end, it goes a VERY completely new direction.
