Shinem is a small but luxurious kingdom. Known for its beauty throughout the world, many come to visit simply to see the grass that overtakes the land or the river that sweeps through the center. Since the attack of the dragons that burned down more than half of Shinem, many places have had to be rebuilt and replanted, but they are growing back as gorgeous as before. The kingdom sits in the center of a large grassy plain, with one bit of a side encroaching on the mountains dusted with snow. It is surrounded by three sets of tall white walls that keep any intruders out -- or any escapees in. The only space where the walls do not tower above the citizens is where the mountains rise from the ground. However the terrain here can be so treacherous that none dare to approach it.

Located below the mountains and beside the shimmering lake that feeds the river lies the glorious Palace of Shinem. All who visit are instantly in awe of the castle's structures. Because the palace was destroyed in the attack, most of the palace has been rebuilt in the past several years, making it glow in the sunlight with its new stone walls. However, there are some bits of the castle that are still recovering from the attack. The most infamous is the Fallen Keep, the former throne room of the palace. The walls, in and out, are charred from flames and the floor is scattered with rubble. The palace residents and staff are advised to keep out of the broken hall as it is likely still dangerous and unstable. The Fallen Keep is left in its broken state to remind Shinem the tragedy it endured years back and to give all the hope to keep moving on, as well as pay respect to all those lost in the attacks.

Outside of the castle, Shinem is divided into four main sections. The smallest yet wealthiest section is Flennol Vale. All nobles not taking up residence in the palace make their homes here in the estates. Also living here are the wealthiest merchants and travellers. The streets are always clean, the residents always dressed in their finest clothing, and the children always following the rules.

The second, West Sattarbas, is the most populated of the four. Those with enough coin in their pockets to care for their large families but not high enough status to find an estate in the Blank 1 District make their home here. Many shopkeeps, merchants, inkeeps, and other mildly successful live in the nice houses here.

Lower South Flond is the third section of Shinem. This is where many of the residents of the lower social class make their home. This also tends to be the most littered part of the kingdom. With both trash, sewage, and prostitutes of both genders, the streets are always overcome and are almost never walked at night. This district is especially avoided by the royals and most nobles.

The final section is Little Gertrap. This district is not all together like the other three. Instead, this district refers to the scattered houses around Shinem belonging to either farmers, animal trainers, or anyone who could not afford a house in the central area of Shinem and built their own home in the outskirts. Those who live in this district have little to no money whatsoever.

The final location on the map is the Mystic Meadow Inside a small valley surrounded by thick shrubbery is where a tall, precarious tower and its smaller sister tower, the Towers of Myst, stand. These two towers are where all those born with magic go to study and live, for the safety of themselves and others. Any found to have magic are sent here immediately or imprisoned so they do not cause any more harm to Shinem.
