OKay :) I just got back from vacation and didn't read as much as I would have thought. haha. So I'll probably be starting this in the next few days.

Hey Krista! I started this yesterday. I'm about to start chapter twenty-seven.

So far,

Vika - (view spoiler)[ She's really cool, and I think that it's sweet that she thinks of Sergei as her dad. It's really annoying how she's kind of "in love" with Nikolai, and that that is the reason why she won't end the Game. (hide spoiler)]

Nikolai - (view spoiler)[ At the beginning, I found him to be quite selfish, thinking about clothes and things, but he has progressively become better. He's really determined to kill Vika, though. (hide spoiler)]

Pasha - (view spoiler)[ I like that he is wild, but in the last few chapters he has become really annoying in his quest to find out who Vika is, even going as far to go to the bakery. I hope he doesn't become tsar soon, because he would find out who Nikolai really is. (hide spoiler)]

Yuliana - (view spoiler)[ I personally think that if Pasha becomes tsar, she will be the brains behind his reign. I hope that she doesn't just get married off to someone else. (hide spoiler)]

The trainers - (view spoiler)[ It was interesting to find out they were brothers, although I do hate the way Galina treats her brother.
It sucks that Sergei never knew about Nikolai, though, talk about an unfair game. (hide spoiler)]

The Game - (view spoiler)[ Nikolai's turns have been pretty good, in respect to killing his opponent. Vika's lightning felt good, although the water trick wasn't that game. I feel there's only a little time left before Pasha finds out what is going on. (hide spoiler)]

I really do think that (view spoiler)[ there'll be some kind of game-breaker and the action will continue in the second book. If only one had to win, though, I'd personally prefer Vika. (hide spoiler)]

So far, I'm liking it. The one thing I do not like though is (view spoiler)[ how dull it's getting. I feel like they need to make it more interesting and engaging when they play the game. So far, it's taken them, like, less than a chapter to figure out their moves and it hasn't felt really emotional. (hide spoiler)]

Wow you are on it! I've been working in my yard and not reading the past few days, but I will get on that now :) Glad you hear you are liking it so far.

Final thoughts:
Vika - (view spoiler)[ Hmm, don't know what to think. She did ransack Nikolai's house, but seemed to regret it. What was done to her at the end was totally Galina's move. Glad she won the game, though! (hide spoiler)]

Nikolai - (view spoiler)[ Sigh... Is he dead, or is he alive? I don't know, based on what Vika said in the last chapter. (hide spoiler)]

Gosh you are so much faster then me right now haha. Can't wait to hear them and hopefully I catch up soon. I'm reading so slowly right now. :(

Ch. 23

I am liking it so far but (view spoiler)[ this chapter is creepy as all get out. Plus, if Nikolai's mother is alive what about Vika's? (hide spoiler)]

Ch. 36

Vika- (view spoiler)[I agree, I'm glad she thinks he is her dad. I don't like the "in love" thing at all. I hope to some extent that's not that will happen. I kind of want her with the prince. Than way maybe he will figure out a way to stop the games since Nikolai is his best friend. (hide spoiler)]

Nikolai- (view spoiler)[ I'm glad that so far he is growing as a character. I don't think he will kill Vika now. But I think in some way he has fallen for him but I kind of like him with I forget her name but the other helper in his house....his friend. (hide spoiler)]

The Games- (view spoiler)[Totally agree with you. The game is pretty boring so far. Although, I do like the whole island that just happened, but I'm worried Vika is going to kill her father. I also believe there will be some kind of game breaker. Otherwise, I don't know where book two would be going. (hide spoiler)]
