6. Everest helps solve the mystery with her keen senses. Has your pet ever done anything like that?

I have a beagle who eats, sleeps, and follows my mom around. She's smart, but stubborn and won't do anything she doesn't want without food. It's funny because beagles are supposed to have really good noses, but sometimes she can't find food right in front of her in the grass unless she saw where it landed.

Note from the author: Everest is actually my real dog. (I like to include my pets in all my books). But I'm not sure she'd actually help solve a mystery. She's too much of a buddy and loves everyone. I've always loved those stories of pets that come to the aid or their families.
