Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least. Tough, hard and overtly sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.

This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you don't know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can't love you back might be impossible.

I'm enjoying the book... I really like Wilson and how he teaches history :) ... I'm also really glad that there isn't a very big age gap between Wilson and Blue (only 3 years).

I'm liking how Blue reacts to Wilson... like she hates him and can't stand him, when what I'm thinking she can't stand is the fact that she doesnt hate him at all... she actually even likes him a tiny bit :)

Can't wait for the romance between these 2 to develop...

Now, about Blue as a character... I like her! She seems all tough and sarcastic and like she doesn't care about anything, but that's all a show... she's actually pretty nice. I like that were getting to know her past story little by little, as she writes her "history" assignment :)

Blue's mum is native american (and I am Loving the diversity, here!); her father clearly was white... I wonder what really happend to her mum and if Blue will ever know who her biological father is... and who she is...

It was such an awful and sad thing what happend to Gracie and Manny!

I never expected Manny to turn into an highschool shooter! I'm glad no one was hurt, because I'd hate to see that sweet 16 yo guy have a murder in his hands and conscience.

I do hope Blue gets to meet them again and that we can know what happens to them...

I really like Manny as a character... I like how he is what he is, how he is not afraid to be true to himself, even if it makes people wonder about his sexuality or label him as being gay. (hide spoiler)]

So, I really, really wasn't expecting a Pregancy to happen here!

I'm shocked.... What is Blue gonna do now?! No way in hell will Mason accept or help her out in raising this baby!

Is she gonna do an Abortion?!

Oh Lord! This is not gonna end well, is it?! And what about when Cheryl finds out????

I'm SO GLAD that Wilson is gonna hep Blue out! ... And I'm really happy that she is moving out of that house.

Also, it seems she's gonna have the baby and I am really proud of her, for that decision... like she didn't want to abandon her own child (unborn child) when she herself was abandoned by her mother!

I'm hoping she keeps and raises the child... I don't think she's thinking of giving the baby away for adoption, but we'll see. (hide spoiler)]

but the teaching pages of the story are killing me! lol I'll be glad when they are over (hide spoiler)]

so far this one is just okay for me. I don't think the story is unlike many other New Adult ones so far.......hopefully that will change :)

Oh, I don't think this is like other New Adult books... there's unique stuff in here! ... you'll see ;)

Have you ever read any other books by this author?!
This is my 2nd book of hers (I read Making Faces last year and it was my most favourite book of my 2016's reads).
I am really enjoying this book! I'm at 57% now.

I haven't read anything else! I see that I've wanted to read Making Faces! hopefully I can add that into my actual pile sometime :)

The (view spoiler)[ pregnancy was a shock. I'm glad her teacher got her out at her graduation!

It's good she's going to keep the baby. I can't believe her teacher got her in the apartment but it sounds perfect and like she's treating it well. she does well living on her own so far (hide spoiler)]

I'm also(view spoiler)[ glad that their relationship isn't jumped started yet....they are just friends but keeping their distance (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I'm wondering if Blue will keep her baby or go foward wih the adoption? I want Tiffa to be happy, but I really don't know if Blue will be able to go foward with giving her baby away once she sees and holds he/she... it's a really hard thing to do... but we'll see... (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I am so enjoying this book! That part about Blue asking Wilson if he thought she was making a mistake and she explainig why she thought adoption was the best for her baby was so Heartbreaking! Oh the Feels!

I also really liked that the MC's relationship slowly grows from friendship to love.

And I'm happy that Melody's adoption went well and that Blue will be able to be a part of her life.

Lastly, It was a nice suprise to know that Jimmy was Blue's grandfather... I was especialy happy for That :) (hide spoiler)]
