The Coincidence Series by Jessica Sorensen - Reading from 'The Redemption of Callie & Kayden (The Coincidence #2)' from February 15th 2019
Chapter 4: So we know his story right from the start but hers is very mysterious so far. (view spoiler)
When I saw that this was a YA romance I honestly didn't expect to like it much as they tend to be too sappy for my taste. However The romance is really a side story the real issues are very powerful ones that pull at the heart strings.
Ya, I felt that way the first time as well. I will post soon, trying to finish The Crown's Game first.
I can identify with Callie's story and the fact she does not want to tell her mother. As I read this book I kept thinking people will be screaming why don't you just tell you family and get it over with but Callie has good reason to be so hesitant.

The Destiny of Violet & LukeIts just the first few lines and I don't like where this is going for Luke :(
The Destiny of Violet & Luke3/4 Its obvious who the female killer of Violets parents is going to be(view spoiler)
Finished: For me this book lacked a strong story line unlike the first two books. I'm not saying they have not gone through really bad time it just didn't have the emotion that was in Callie & Kayden's story. Through all 3 books so far there has been a strong dependence on smoking as if these boys are so addicted that they can not go with out for any length of time. We are talking about 18 and 19 year olds here but they way they act you would think they have been smoking for 40 or 50 years and are so addicted that it needs to be noted constantly.

THE COINCIDENCE OF CALLIE & KAYDEN
For Kayden, suffering in silence was the only way to survive. If he was lucky, he could keep his head down, do as he was told, and make it through the day. But one night it seemed like his luck -- and his life -- might finally end... until an angel named Callie appeared just in time to rescue him.
Callie has never believed in luck. Not since her twelfth birthday when everything was taken from her. After the worst was over, she locked up her feelings and vowed never to tell anyone what happened. Now, six years later, she continues to struggle with the painful secret that threatens to consume her.
When fate lands Kayden and Callie at the same college, Kayden is determined to get to know the beautiful girl who changed his destiny. Quiet and reserved, Callie still fears letting anyone else into her world. But Kayden is certain that Callie has come back into his life for a reason. And the more he tries to be a part of her life, the more he realizes that, this time, it's Callie who needs to be saved
Gillian and I will be reading the series together! Feel free to join us!
