The problem with biographies is that one can never pick the ending one wants. I was upset that the love that was so deserved ended so quickly.

There are a lot of facts in the book, but also a lot of your memory of events. Did you confirm your memories with friends and family before you wrote the book or did you write as you remembered the events?
Hi Carolien, I mainly relied on my own memory, but I did confirm some of them. In the end I also decided to leave out some because they were contested or at least not ready to be faced, and they involved other people
