Personally, I think Rose is a stronger character than Alex is.She has more personality than just being a smart ass and she is tougher than Alex.

I really prefer Rose as a character, mostly because I relate to her more. Rose is very flawed as a person and while Alex is too, she leans further into Mary Sue territory than Rose does and that contributes to my preference for Rose as well. Further, I have often felt while reading this series that Alex is a kind of watered-down Rose. That being said, I also kind of enjoy the way the relationship between Aiden and Alex developed over the way it did in VA, mostly due to pacing.
Though, I gotta say, it's getting pretty old to be like "oh just like in Vampire Academy" every time I pick up one of these books. I understand that Armentrout didn't copy Mead, but it's honestly just kind of tiring for me to read basically the same plot points dressed up with Greek myths instead of vampires.

I don't know, I do prefer Alex over Rose. Alex seems more of a fighter and never gives up and will do anything for those she loves. I like this series a little better. She is strong and fearless and funny at the same time because that is how she copes. I also prefer Aiden over Dimitri. I feel as if Alex is a little more relateable with how she deals with everything that comes at her. I also prefer Armentrout over Mead.
Funny this series brought nothing but vampire academy to my mind while reading it, and I read vampire academy first....however I still loved this story I even think I may prefer Alex and Aiden...vs rose and dimitri.....
Definitly Alex. Rose is a little sluty for my taste.and the plot of covenant series is way more better than VA. I also prefer Armentrout over Mead.;D
Maybe is beacuse I've only read two books from the Vampire Academy Series and all of this one, but I feel really attached to Alex

ALEX. I hated Rose, who is predominately the reason why I cannot continue with the Vampire Academy series. I'm so glad I found the Covenant series.
Rose. She has more personality and sarcasm. Alex is a good character, but Rose has more....power.
