Play Book Tag discussion

Elizabeth Strout has written a book where chapters are more like short stories about different people. The characters are connected by someone in a person's story showing up later in the book as the main character in their own part.

The characters are not necessarily likable, but they are real and their flaws are often revealed. They mostly come from poor backgrounds and you see where they end up. Their stories differ and the author shows elements that include having been in a war, marriages, family, small towns and the affects of poverty.

I have loved every book of hers that I have read. I'm looking forward to this one.
