Thank goodness someone else feels the same as I did! It was such a drag for me to get through. I think I gave it three but upon reflection it should have been a two.

Same AJ. She gave A Little Life, my favourite book EVER, a three, and has rated highly books that haven't grabbed me. I still appreciate reading her reviews though. It's good to have alternate viewpoints. I find in my face to face book club that we have the best discussions when we disagree. When we all love a book it goes a bit like this - 'It was really good'. 'I agree. I liked it.' 'What's on for the rest of the weekend?'
Until I read the spoiler, I didn't see the "The" in the title and thought you were talking about Wonder, one of my favorite books, lol. I'm glad it's not that one. But, even if it were, to each their own. ;)
I agree, very slow moving. I think I rated it 2.5 but rounded up to 3 on here. I love Room too so I don't know how a book this slow moving could have come from the same author.
