Angel (edelric) | 5 comments So back when i was around in highschool (im 21 now) I read a book aimed for young adults that took place very far into the future, maybe in the Middle East but it was so far into the future i can't remember anyways, and it was dystopian/future setting, a lot of things destroyed. The main character was a female lead, I do remember for awhile she had a companion that was a camel. There were also missiles that caused mutations and powers, but i think that was more backstory for the setting, and i think plants were computers?? Also I remember the book was written very oddly, but in a cool way. Thanks in advance!

The heroine is Zanne; she lives in a post-apocalyptic magic-based society that fears machines because they destroy magic. She's sent to investigate what's going wrong in a place called Minith, and discovers that buried radioactive waste is transforming some of the villagers there into mutant animal things.
