I'm not sure if I know what you mean? I love going into narratives of characters thoughts and mindsets, and I love brainstorming location and events. Don't get me wrong, a spontaneous roleplay is great, but planning big events with the other person/people has always made things run smoother, for me at least.
If you want a more get to the point rp, I'd be down to work by that.
Alright. Would you like to play Muse A or Muse B? Also, should we create these characters' appearances, ages, likes, dislikes etc?
First Name: RyanLast Name: Young
Age: 17 (close to graduating)
Birthday: 5/22
Personality: Ryan, though giving off a guarded and cool exterior, is a guy filled with insecurities. He’s generally cool and collected, but when alone or with another person is doubtful of his appearance and social standing. He clings to the people that are close to him, and there aren’t many. Thus, he worries about Muse A and their relationship due to the worry that without Muse A, there will be no one to truly connect to. He waits to be cued to talk about anything actually personal. When he does talk about something he can get deep and philosophical, though never in depth about himself and his own emotions. These he keeps buried for fear of being hurt, which ends up being a weakness when he connects to people.
Appearance

-Eye color: hazel, but tending towards brown rather than green
-Hair color: dark brown
-Height: 5’ 8’
-Weight: I’d say 150-160
-Markings/Tattoos/etc: he’s lightly freckled on his cheeks and shoulders, but not distinctively.
Family/Relationships/History: His mother, newly divorced and taboo, came into town seeking a new life long before he was born. That new life she found in Ryan’s father, who has lived in the town for a long time. Though they tried to keep the origins and past of his mother a secret, the townspeople still treat Ryan as some sort of outsider, not sharing the same pure blood as them.
The secret of the relationship to Muse A has spread rumors that have driven their family back in on itself. Unlike Muse A’s parents, Ryan’s parents are apprehensive, though forgiving. They defend their son as having nothing to do with the scandal.
Ryan has two younger sisters, one 15 and the other 13. They have been relatively close to Ryan, and close enough to know that the “lie” of Ryan being gay is true. He used to confide in them when he was younger, but now keeps his secrets and truths shared at minimum.
Strengths: He’s a good arguer, and a better liar. He has a talent for witty humor and puns, though he prods these more at his friends and Muse A.
Weaknesses: He’s reclusive and deflects personal questions with humor. He needs other people to talk to, however, and not indulging in that gives him a defensive temper when bluntly confronted.
Likes: He’s a big fan of cats, but only at a distance and likes coffee with a lot of cream. He tends to like wearing sweaters with other layers, and listens to a lot of radio, without any distinct preference for any one genre.
Dislikes: He dislikes not being good at something, and views it as a humiliation to himself.
Name: Lucas Eugene Lawson Nickname: Luke
Gender: Male
Age: 17
sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Height: 5’10
Appearance: Lucas has dark styled short hair, with brown eyes.
(view spoiler)
Personality: Lucas' probably the nicest guy you’ll ever met, hardly a mean thing you could say about him. He's pretty easy going and really doesn't get mad or upset all that often. Though when he does get angry it's best to just stay away from him. To put it simply, people have not often made the mistake of pissing him off twice. That being said he does generally get along with everyone, though he's not the popular type. He does like participating in sports though, his favorite being hockey. He's been the captain of the team since he was a freshman, one of the first. He's pretty charismatic so he makes a great leader. The saying the eyes are the window to the soul really holds true with Lucas. They often reveal exactly what he's feeling or thinking. Which really makes it hard for him to lie, his eyes always give him away.
(view spoiler)
History:Lucas' parents sent him to a clinic called Fair Haven hoping they could bring back the son they wanted. The one that wasn't gay. It didn't work at first, he spent several months resisting everything they tried to do to him. A year passed before he finally graduated from the clinic. He was sent back home determined t stay on path, he wasn't gay. He was the child his parents always wanted him to be. He was normal. Least that's what he kept telling himself. ((More details about his time there TBRPed))
(view spoiler)
Other:He is always wearing this necklace. His grandfather gave it to him many years ago and he has barely taken off since.

((Alright bud. On it.))"Um....can I get that back...?"
He found himself, once again, distracted from the guy handing him money. Without missing a beat he gave a convincing grin.
"Oh, sorry. Got caught up in the numbers."
The man laughed uncertainly as he left the store. This, Ryan recognized. This suspicion had kept him on his toes for almost a year now. So far, forgetting had been what made his lies more convincing, but even those felt between his teeth. The whole thing was so stupid, and surely Lucas would see it like that when he got back. Lucas was always so confident about it all.
Luke had been so valuable to the town that Ryan was surprised they actually took him. Things had been falling apart-not obviously, of course, but behind the scenes, quietly disintegrating like Ryan’s trust. The hockey team, for one and school...God.
School had been a fucking nightmare. The main groups had been falling part with the power vacuum of Luke being gone-He really was a pillar of the social tower. That and the rumors. No one had talked to Ryan about anything personal before the incident, but now it seemed like no one talked to him at all-the normal everyday chatter seemed to diminish around him, like he was some sort of conversational black hole. No doubt people knew about their closeness, and no doubt people had already heard bits and pieces. Luke had been caught with him, after all. It wasn’t a secret
Surprisingly, no one bothered him about it-though when he teased and joked, less people laughed. Ryan was taboo, and part of him accepted it as he always had. Luke, even absent, seemed immune to the effect. He was “getting treatment” after all.
But Luke would lie and get out, of course, and prove them all wrong because the motherfuckers had no idea what they were handling.
Right?
Ryan didn’t quite believe it, but the dream comforted the idea off of his mind as another customer made the door chime. Working at the gas station was another distraction, another ploy to gain trust- he’d barely kept it after the incident. People never asked much, they came and left, and most of the customers were people passing through anyways.
