I was really drawn by This Present Darkness. I love how he examines the spiritual world.

My absolute favorite Christian author. My new book that I am currently looking for a publisher for, is written along his style of writing. If you haven't read Piercing the Darkness you have too
M.L.- I did read Piercing the Darkness, and liked that one as well. Not sure why I haven't read The Oath yet, though.Tammy - I loved the Left Behind series, how about you?
I did enjoy the Left Behind series. My favorite Peretti were The Oath and House. I believe he also wrote the short story Tilly which was not his normal style but also good.
T.C. wrote: "Okay, so now I need to read The Oath!"The Oath is excellent. Just don't read it at night just before you go to sleep!
T.C. wrote: "Is the Oath part of the series, or is it stand alone? (And thanks for the warning!)"It's a stand alone book. The imagery of sin it portrays is intense.
Just found it on my husband's shelf. ;) Maybe I will hit that one after I finish The Prophet. The blurb sounded kind of vague.
A coworker a long time ago gave me This Present Darkness and I loved it. Have read several Peretti book since and liked them all. The last one was Monster which is about a woman taken by a big Sasquatch and her husband who kept looking for her.
I've heard a lot of good things about Monster, though I gotta admit - the idea of Sasquatch just did not interest me.
