And remember, this is all about challenging YOURSELF. This is not a competition against the rest of us. So if you can only read 2 books, give yourself a hand and go get a hot fudge sundae or a nice mug of hot chocolate to either cool yourself off with or to warm yourself up with.

All of the books I read lately have black, white and grey covers. My arthritis in my hands and wrists is reaching the point where even holding the NOOK is starting to hurt. But it's lighter than a book. Even so, it's getting old (I've had it forever) and is starting to act up a bit. But I don't want to replace it with one of the new colour ones because they weigh more than this one does. Sigh, the things we do and put up with in pursuit of our addictions, right?

That's what I will probably do when this one gets to the point where it isn't working at all. I've already moved the charger so that it's next to my chair, since it's no longer holding a charge as well. I've been debating buying another charger or 3 and having them stashed all over the house. :o) But as long as it will still turn on, I'll hang onto it.
Don't want to give up my reading source, right? (And I do have a tablet and a smart phone, so that I'd be taken care of while waiting for the delivery of a new one.)
The ONLY advantage I can think of for the new ones is the colour covers. That I do miss. Sigh, I used to love looking at book covers.

Monica--thanks for that suggestion you made to Brenda. I too like Celia Kyle, and haven't read the Caith Morningstar series, so it was nice to find a new book by her.

Since it’s too hot to move in most of the Northern Hemisphere (and too cold in the Southern) lets go for something simple. SSSOOOOO
It’s COLOUR TIME—remember that you have to link your cover for this one. And it’s one book per colour. If you haven't done this before, open up the Add book/author tab at the top of the comment box. At the bottom of the Book section you will see 2 choices--Link and Cover. Click on Cover and then find your book. That will then put the book cover into your conversation box. Please also use the Link to list the title in easier to read form for those of us who are barely conscious because of the heat or are shivering too hard to concentrate from the cold.
