━━━━━━━━ [ WATERFALL & COVE ] ━━━━━━━
. if you go a bit in the forest, you'll find one of the most beautiful land marks of new orleans. the fuji waterfall and watering hole. this spot is the most well known to hike to, as it has a bridge that stands right above the waterfall. people often jump off the ledges and rocks into the watering hole below, plunging into refreshing blue water. some people like to think of the water as magical. some even say it has healing remedies. others say you can make wishes and they'll come true. it also happens to have a hidden cove beyond the waterfall. if you go behind the waterfall, you'll come across a small yet memorizing cove.

a small white wolf approached the calm waters of the watering hole. her snow white fur blowing lightly in the breeze, the mist from the waterfall damping the fur. the once elegant wolf was now gone, and in it's place was a short memorizing girl. her tanned skin glistened against the sun as her gaze swept over the water in front of her. her dyed pink hair, slightly wave, bounced on her shoulders when the breeze continued to blow. she slid her sandals off her small feet, shifting her position so she was now sitting on a rather large rock - dipping her feet into the cool water. some fishes swirled around before disappearing.

harley hummed a tune lightly to herself, swaying her emerged feet in the water, resulting in light ripples around them. she looked up, now focusing on the waterfall. she would never get over how breathtaking this place was. she visited as often as she could. miss white was usually known as the werewolf who was always in the town, but this was her true happy place. a waterfall in the forest, who woulda known. not many of her friends knew about her visiting this land mark on a daily basis, there was a small number. harley continued to hum the song, watching as a dragonfly bounced across the water.

Sometimes, the city was too much for Caspar.

He loved it, don't get him wrong. It was probably the best city in the world, with all the culture and tourists and the vibrancy of it. But sometimes, he got tired of the cramped atmosphere, the people all around, and he just wanted to get away.

Of course, part of that might have been due to the fact that he was a shapeshifter.

At the moment, he was a robin, a brilliant red, flying high above the ground. Or rather, the waterfall, he realized upon looking down. He hadn't meant to come this far out, but while he was here...

Caspar swooped down, and was about to land on the bank and shift to human form when he spotted a person. He faltered for a moment, then recognized her. Harley. That was her name. He was friends with her, on the most surface level of the term. But even she didn't know his secret.

He swooped off, a little ways into the woods, where he knew she wouldn't see him, and changed there. Brushing his hair out of his face, he headed in the direction of the waterfall, picking up a large, sturdy stick on his way. If he could look like a hiker, it was for the better.

He emerged from the trees and did his best to look like he hadn't expecting to see her there. Then, he let a smile spread across his face. He actually was happy to see her, as she was one of the few people he could tolerate. "Hey, Harley!" he called, walking towards her.

((Sorry I write a novel))

harley smiled lightly as she saw a small hummingbird fly over. she held her hand out, the fluttering bird obliging and landing on her finger. "hi there, little guy," she greeted quietly - not wanting to scare it off. it tweeted in response. it was truly incredible. werewolves were usually seen as savages and predators. but harley changed the whole perspective on that belief. she was gentle and caring, the last thing she ever wanted to do was hurt somebody. although, some of her pack mates shamed her for her behavior. taunting her and telling her she wasn't a true wolf. she took it to heart as a pup, which led to having no friends among the pack. but here she was, merry as ever. most of her friends were humans. or other supernatural creatures, she was never too sure.

harley's heart skipped a beat when she heard some footsteps emerging behind her. she turned her head, her blue gaze landing upon a familiar male figure. her heart shifted back to normal pace once she was able to recognize him - caspar. "hey there, stranger," she replied with a soft tone, giving a friendly smile. she scooted over a bit, encouraging him to take a seat beside her. by this time, the humming bird fluttered off.

Caspar gladly took the invitation to sit with Harley — she was good company, especially when he felt like condemning the human race as bumbling idiots. Which was oftener than one would think. He climbed up onto the rock beside Harley, pulling his hair up into a ponytail once he settled. The only reason he never got it cut was because it wasn't essential.

"Enjoying the scenery?" he asked with a smirk, lightly elbowing Harley. He appeared more relaxed than usual around her, though it wasn't true in the least. He was always on edge, especially around her — someone he trusted, if only marginally.

It was a beautiful day, he had to admit, as he leaned back on his hands, his legs crossed before him. He liked nature; it was a part of him to appreciate its beauty. After all, part of the time he was a part of nature.

harley was pleased as caspar accepted her offer, his presence quickly making it's way into hers as he sat beside her. she pushed some of her hair off her shoulder, letting it fall down her back. she giggled lightly as he elbowed her, swatting his arm away playfully. "duh! how can you not? it's absolutely stunning here," she responded, pure astonishment in her tone. the sun shining down on the water made it glisten, and all the nature around made it even better. the air was fresh and the mist from the waterfall, it was simply perfect.

"ya know, its funny actually. i'm always in town, like, I love it there. but nobody really knows that I come here on a daily basis. literally," she said, laughing a little. "every day I take time out of my schedule to visit this place," she added. she glanced at him before fixating back on the waterfall. there was something different about caspar's personality, but it always attracted harley. he was different from her other friends, but it was a good kind of different. she has always enjoyed his presence.

Caspar chuckled, returning his gaze to his friend. "You've got that right," he said. "It is beautiful." For once, he told the whole truth: the forest was lovely, and always would be in his opinion. Unless stupid humans came in and screwed it all up. As they tended to do.

"Oh, I'm the same." Caspar admitted. That, also, was true. He figured it was safe to reveal such paltry details — nothing more than a love of nature, which plenty shared, could be determined from it. "Not daily, but often. It's relaxing, nature."

He sat up straight once more and looked at his shoes, contemplating taking them off to dip his feet in the water. "How have you been?" he asked her, settling on swishing a hand through the water instead. "I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

Not true. Caspar had seen Harley, but she hadn't seen him. He could remain hidden when he wanted, and he liked to make sure his friend was safe. He checked on her now and then. He couldn't let his one good company get hurt, could he?

harley nodded in agreement. not far from this location, the werewolf pack territory stood. her home, in a way. she only ever went there if she was visiting her parents. she felt a little better when he admitted he did the same thing, kind of. not as much as her but still. she wasn't exactly ashamed of what she did, but she just enjoyed keeping it her secret of some sort. she kicked her feet a little, the water swirling and splashing slightly in response. she began to debate whether or not to go swimming, it'd feel nice. but she was with company.

harley thought about his question for a moment, looking for something to reply with. "same ole, same ole. good, fine, dandy. nothing new, working like a dog..." she trailed off, shrugging her shoulders. it was true. she was usually working everyday, the restaurant she worked at was understaffed. "oh, i know! where have you been? what have you been up to? I hope nothing thats gonna get you into trouble," she teased with a smile.

message 9: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera)
Caspar laughed, a chuckle that he felt appropriate at the moment. "Well, I'm glad you haven't dropped dead of exhaustion," he said. He scooped up a handful of water, letting it run between his fingers as he tried to formulate a response to her question. It was best, he had decided long ago, if Harley didn't know he was a thief. At the same time, though, she was right about him getting into trouble - though he was never caught.

"Oh, the same," he said finally, shrugging. "Not much different in my life." He shook his head again, and flicked water at Harley. "No, I haven't gotten into any trouble. Don't you have faith in me?" All of it true, though he felt odd about the last sentence. Was it too much? Or maybe just friendly enough. After all, she'd started it.

harley shook her head slightly, holding back a laugh at his comment. "key word! yet," she added on with a smile. she watched as he scooped up the water, the sparkling liquid falling through his fingers. she looked back at him once he began to speak once more. she laughed lightly, "of course I do, silly. but I never see you, so I don't exactly know what you're up to. for all i know you could be some drug dealer or gang member," she replied, giving a playful smirk.

now that she thought about it, she wasn't exactly sure what he did. she never asked, because she knew it wasn't really her business. did they know each other well enough to start asking personal questions? well in her defense, he know where she worked. but again, that is how they met. she happened to be his waitress and just hit it off. from there, they kinda always run into each other somewhere random.

message 11: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera)
Now this was getting difficult. She was wrong, of course, he was no gang member or druggie — he stayed away from the gangs and had never cared for drugs, dealing or otherwise — but at the same time, she wasn't far off. Partial truth would do, he thought. "No, I'm not in a gang." he said. "And I don't deal drugs."

He shrugged. "It's not important what I do. Really." Maybe that was too defensive. He didn't want to scare her off, but at the same time, he really didn't want to tell her. Telling her would not be good. For all he knew, she would turn him in. "I'm fine," he said with a smile, "Don't sorry about me."

harley pressed her lips together, looking away from him and out at the water again. she nodded slightly, "okay, I believe you," she commented. she truly did, but she knew he was up to something. maybe it was her wolf senses. she shrugged it off, everybody had their secrets. including her. plus, she didn't want to push him away - she actually liked him. he was enjoyable to be around, even if they did have slightly opposite personalities. maybe that's what always draws her in. she laughed slightly, "don't tell me not to worry. cause then i'll worry. I always worry about friends," she told him. which was one of her weaknesses. she trusted way to easily and got attached. and never knows when it's a bad situation until its too late, but she couldn't help herself.

"enough of that," she said, wanting to change the subject. "okay, mr. mysterious. care for a swim?" she smiled brightly, already starting to pull her t-shirt off - good thing she decided to wear her bathing suit underneath. the sun was surely starting to beat down on them, and the only reason she wanted to come here was to swim for a bit.

message 13: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera)
Caspar smiled, more relieved than he would have thought to hear her words. "Well all right," he said with a chuckle and a friendly nudge. "You can worry about me a little." The idea, he found, was actually refreshing — generally, people paid him no mind, or simply didn't care.

He tilted his head to one side as Harley prepared to swim. "Unfortunately," he said slowly, "I did not come as prepared as you." Of course, if he were alone he would just become a fish and swim that way. But he wasn't, so he couldn't. "I think I'll stay here. You go swim." He leaned back a little again, squinting up at the sky for a moment.

harley stood up, taking off her shorts, throwing them afar to join her t-shirt. she looked at him, shrugging. "boo hoo, you're no fun," she teased, puffing out her bottom lip in a pouty playful way. she walked to the edge of the rock, sliding slowly into the water. she let out a long sigh, the relaxing water taking over her body. the best part about this place, is the water was always the perfect temperature. not too cold, and not too warm. she a small smile stayed upon her lips as she allowed herself to float.

"you're missing out. the water is amazing," she told him, swimming back to the edge of the rock. she adjusted herself so she had her arms resting on the rock, laying her chin on them as she stared up at him. she glanced at the sky, the same place he was looking up at. "nice view?" she asked curiously.

Ema (gee-fiera)
He stuck his tongue out at her. Childish, yes, but not out of character for his interactions with Harley. "I think I'll be all right here," he said, splashing water onto her.

He shrugged, returning his gaze to Harley. "Just doing some cloud-watching. He pointed at one, "That one looks like a bear, see?" He laughed. Caspar pulled off his shoes finally, rolling up the legs of his jeans and dipping his feet in the water. "Well you're not wrong, the water's great."

harley laughed lightly, rolling her eyes in a playful manner. "your loss," she commented back. she turned her head away as he splashed her. "ugh, rude," she said, in a snobby tone, but in also a teasing way. she turned back to him, moving her hair out of her face. "oh yeah, I can totally see it," she responded, staring up at the cloud he had pointed out. she wrinkled her nose slightly before looking down from the sky.

she kicked her feet lightly to keep herself afloat. every once and awhile she could feel a fish swim beside her. she watched as he placed his feet in the water, "duh, i'm never wrong silly," she smiled. she gazed out at the water, memorized by the glistening. "hey, curious question. people say this place has healing and magical properties. do you believe it?" she asked gently.

"Oh, come on Harley, it's not that bad." Caspar said in a teasing tone, splashing her more and laughing. He had to admit, this was fun. He shook his head at her declaration. "Really? Never wrong? I find that hard to believe."

He stared out at the falls; they were truly beautiful. He wondered what it would be like to fly down through the spray. If he could do it without hurting himself, that was. Looking back at Harley, he shrugged. "I don't know. I've never experienced any magic here. But that doesn't mean it's not true."

harley giggled, raising up her arm to block herself from the water he continued to splash on her. "you're gonna mess up my makeup!" she whined, playfully. not that she actually cared. she sent back a small splash at him. she shrugged, "well, you better believe it. i'm always right," she smiled widely, giving a quick wink as well.

she rested back against the rock, sighing lightly. "yeah.. same. but I don't know. i've heard some pretty bizarre stories," she responded. of course harley herself believed in the tales, she seen it right before her eyes. but she wasn't about to admit that, the last thing she needed was caspar thinking she was crazy. plus, her story behind it involved her werewolf side - the side caspar had no idea about. maybe it was best that way.

Ema (gee-fiera)
"If you wanted perfect makeup, you shouldn't have gone swimming!" Caspar called back to her, laughing. He shook his head. "How about often right?" he asked, "I can believe that."

Caspar tilted his head, watching the water once more. It certainly looked enchanting from here... and he had to admit, he was rather inclined to believe the tales of magic. After all, he was a shapeshifter. Those weren't exactly common. He said none of this to Harley, though. He merely shrugged once more. "I guess we'll never know," he said.

harley rolled her eyes playfully. "ever heard of waterproof makeup?" she asked, fluttering her eyelashes slightly. she thought about it for a moment, puffing out her lips as she did so. "hm, fine. i'll take it," she finally responded, accepting the ridiculous "compromise".

she followed his gaze out to the water, it move slightly with the current. the waterfall splashed down, causing a more strong and violent current. "well..." she trailed off, looking at him once more. "they say if you make a wish, it'll come true," she continued gently. "soo.. go ahead. make a wish, can't hurt, right?" she finished, smiling sweetly up at him.

message 21: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera)
"In that case, it wouldn't be a problem, now would it?" Caspar asked teasingly, kicking water in her direction. He laughed at her "compromise", shaking his head. "Well, at least you can agree to that," he said.

"Do they? I haven't heard that one before." Lie. Caspar had heard just about every piece of lore surrounding the city, through overhearing scraps of conversation, or from his brief meetings with other shapeshifters. He looked at the waterfall, then at Harley. "I don't know what to wish for."

That was true. Caspar didn't want much, just to live to see the next day. He didn't need fancy things, or nice clothes, or even a half-decent apartment. He didn't need friends - Harley could be enough - or romance. He didn't want for anything, he thought. He had enough. "Why don't you make a wish?"

message 22: by shay arabella, rotten (new)

shay arabella (voidkosmic) | 242 comments Mod
harley nodded in response. "yup... kind of cliché, I know," she said, laughing lightly. indeed it was, but it was true. for the most part anyways. anything bizarre wouldn't come true, but the more simple wishes often did. as a young pup, she had once wished for some type of toy - she couldn't remember to this day. but the thing had showed up outta nowhere the next day. she was the happiest kid after that.

"oh.... bull, there has to be something you want," she told him, raising an eyebrow slightly. she lifted herself out of the water and onto the rock, flicking the excess water off. she took her seat next to him once more. "me?" she questioned, thinking. there was many things she could wish for, not that she was going to. "um... I wish I had some pizza right now," she finally said, laughing.

message 23: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera)
Caspar shrugged. "There's nothing that wrong with a cliche." His life felt like a cliche sometimes, but again: Harley didn't need to know that. And he really didn't think there was anything wrong with that - after all, it was a cliche for a reason.

He shook his head. "Nope. Not a thing." True, once again. Seriously, what would he wish for? He yelped as the water she shook off landed on him, saying, "Hey now, watch it!" He shoved at her lightly as she sat down again.

"Yeah, you. You must have something. It sounds like you were thinking about it." He laughed at her wish, though he hoped it didn't come across as mean. "Pizza? Really?" He thought about it, though, tilting his head to one side. "Actually, no, pizza does sound good, you're right." He didn't get pizza often, as most places charged extra for the toppings he liked and he didn't like people coming to his apartment. Better to go without.

"yeah, you're right," she agreed. she was often cliche also, more than often actually. harley laughed, "oops, my bad! did I get you wet?" she said, jokingly. totally didn't do it on accident. she shoved him back in response, sticking her tongue out in a childish and playful manner.

she couldn't help but roll her eyes slightly as he laughed at her wish. "yeah, really! at least I had a wish," she said, giggling. raising an eyebrow, she watched as he tilted his head. "ah ha!" she shouted, shaking her head. "see, not a bad wish, huh?" she added on. "we should go get pizza. or order some from my apartment," she added, tapping her chin as she though about it.

"Just a little," Caspar said, nudging her again. That could go on for ages if he let it, so he made a mental note not to let it. He rolled his eyes at her stuck-out tongue, shaking his head as he did. She could be so childish sometimes.

"Hey, it's not my fault I couldn't think of one! You put me on the spot." Half-true: she had put him on the spot, but he didn't want to reveal anything about his actual life.

He shrugged, pulling his feet out of the water. "No, it's not that bad," he admitted. He pulled on his shoes. "Let's just go get some," he said. He didn't want to go to her apartment. It would be too awkward for him.

she smiled lightly when he nudged her once more. "Oh please," she huffed, shaking her head. "you could've wished for the most ridiculous thing. like I did!" she said, laughing. she quickly stood up, grabbing her clothes and slipping back into them. "ugh, great. my clothes are gonna soak through...." she trailed off before shrugging it off.

"yeah, you're right. my apartment is a disaster right now," she commented. it was probably best they didn't go there - she was pretty sure she had stuff out that gave away she was werewolf. it was also just a mess there. "ooooo. I know this really good place! It's just outside of town, not far from here actually," she said with an excited tone. she placed her sandals back on her feet, jumping off the rock and waiting for him.

( i guess i should go make a pizza place huh do you want me to post there first when i do? )

"But I didn't want anything," Caspar protested. He stood up, smoothing a hand over his head to check that his hair was in place. Say what you will about it, but Caspar really did care about his hair. "Well, that stinks," he said. "I'm sure it'll dry soon."

Caspar was glad she didn't question his refusal to go to hers. Being in other people's living spaces made him nervous - and made him feel inadequate. At least he had an apartment, he thought to himself, even if it was crap. "Well, lead the way then!" he said, extending his arm in the direction of the city.

Once Harley had lept from the rock, he did so as well, landing with the grace of a cat - or one who spent a lot of time jumping off of roofs. Either one. He grinned at Harley and waited for her to lead on.

(you can if you'd like, it doesn't matter to me)

Before she knew it, Vee was somehow zig zagging past the trees. At first there was this burning thirst in her throat that she couldn't ignore. As much as she tried to, it just wouldn't go away. She tried to distract herself from it. But going out and being around people wasn't the best thing. She would hear the heart beat and the veins pushing the warm blood through them. She would smell the metallic scent in the blood, and as disgusting as that is, her mouth would water. So she had to her away from civilization. That's why she was near the waterfall.

She came to a stop before the Fuji waterfall. At least there was nothing here to- Vee's head turned so fast to her side. Not far from here stood a deer eating from a bush. It was weird how she heard the smallest of things over the rushing water. She was still not used to this, even after a few months.

Vee's fangs came out against her own will. The animals heart thumped in its body and that's all Vee could hear. Her own eyes turned red. Without a second thought, she leaped onto the animal as quickly as she could. She wasn't even thinking. Her instincts just took over.

Vee tackled the deer to the floor and sunk her fangs into it before drinking greedily. Her thirst was satisfied at last from being pushed away for a couple of weeks. But after a few minutes of drinking, she realized what she was doing, and she felt guilty and disgusted. She pulled back, had gray hair falling to her face. Her mouth was covered in scarlet blood and so was her hands. She had made a mess. "No.. no. No.... I didn't kill it. I didn't kill it. No! No! No!" Vee pushed herself away, staring at the dead dear before her with tears burning her eyes, but not admitting what just happened.

It was the simplicity that had drawn Dexter from the city to the waterfall. While typically he was a social sort, pulling strings and working a new angel, waiting to see what life would bring next, being away from ‘it all’ was required from time to time. It allowed for true relaxation, for a chance to escape reality and exist in nothing but nature, the purest of things. Even after years upon years of being exposed to the toxicity of humans, nature still held true to herself, and Dex respected that.

He stood still, looking over the cliff side across from the falling stream of water, not making a sound. His years brought with them skills, as it did most, one of which was stealth. Vampires, they had to learn how to work in the shadows, how to go unnoticed. It was an absolute requirement if they wanted to survive. Hearing the speedy steps of someone, Dex glanced to his left, seeing in the distance a girl. Considering the air wasn’t putrid with the scent of a shifter, she must be of the same sort as himself.

But unlike him, the girl seemed a bit…unraveled, proving as such whenever she attacked a deer as if it was a life or death situation. Perhaps when he was fully alone, Dexter wouldn’t be coy in his actions when it came to feeding, so he understood the animalistic approach the girl had. But the thing was…she wasn’t alone, and she wasn’t observant enough to have noticed as such. Odds were, she wasn’t in control of herself, a newborn in full—and she was left to wonder alone? Whoever turned her was an idiot, an absolute idiot looking to not only expose their kind to the naïve humans but also get the girl killed.

”No.. no. No.... I didn't kill it. I didn't kill it. No! No! No!" Dex’s nose crinkled. Now that was just sad, and not in the ‘shed a tear’ sense, rather of the depression nature.

In a blink, he traveled the distant, footsteps quiet as they always were, but Dex doubted the girl would have noticed anything beyond her own self-denial and fear of having killed a deer. A damn deer. Maybe he should put her out of her misery. He’d be saving her as well as saving the supernatural from the extreme risk she was to them. “Yes, yes, yes, you did,” he stated simply, knowing he would probably startle the thing and have her reacting, possibly, violently. Nothing he couldn’t handle. “Shredded a major artery from the looks of it. Didn’t stand a chance, the poor thing.”

ƒαуzα...{Iɱ Ꮗҽíཞᗪ} (lovefayfay)
Vee was buried in her own fear and worry of what just happened that she didn't hear the soft footsepts. But she was brought back to reality when there was a voice spoken. Her gaze snapped up from the deer and to the male before her with wife eyes. By now she had her back pressed to a tree. Her heart would have skipped a beat from fear if it was still beating. Oh no, was the first thing she thought. She had been seen, exposed. But after hearing what he said, she started to think more about it.

"Your... your a vampire too?" She asked. He had to be, telling by how nonchalant he was with the whole scene and seemed to know how the deer was killed. Though she was glad she wasn't discovered, she was still frightened from his presence. Her first interaction with a vampire didn't go well, telling by how she was changed now, and she didn't think her second would.

Vee stayed pinned against the tree, staring up to the guy. She smell of blood still lingered in the air and its taste in her mouth. She was embarrassed if she were to be honest, to be found like this. But had he been watching too?

Dex had successfully startled the little thing white with purple tinted hair. It wasn't too difficult, her having been absorbed in her bloodlust and immediate guilt. With her back pressed to a tree, the girl made the leap to say he was a vampire, too, but, curved her voice up at the end to form her observations into a question. She doubted her senses.

"I am," he confirmed. "Your keeper, where is he or she?" He wasn't sure if his question would make sense to a newborn, especially one who seemed to be on edge and unfocused. Thinking in that blood crave phase was hard early on. But he hoped she could make the leap and understand that he was asking where the one who turned her was at.

A vampire too. I wonder how long he's been a vampire for... Vee thought for a moment as she looked over him. He looked perfectly fine, like any human. No red or black eyes. No fangs in sight, unlike her. She could barely control that part of her.

"A keeper?" She asked, confused. She wondered what he was talking about. But by the way he asked her it, she figured what he was saying. "You mean the vampire that changed me?" She asked in a fearful tone. The memory of the rouge vampire flashed through her mind. The blood. Her father and mother, dead. Changing. She blinked a few times to keep from crying.

"I-I don't know." She tells him. "I never saw him after the day he changed me." She explains. Her hate for that vampire was evident in her voice. But why was he asking her this?

The repeated back part of Dex's words, confusion overtook over her expression for a moment. Perhaps terminology wasn't the best way to start off a conversation with a baby vamp, who was in the early states of shock and transition still. But things seemed to click into place for her, the little one asking with fear in her tone if he was referring to the one who turned her.

She didn't need a confirmation, though, deciding that she was now sure that was whom she was being asked about. At least once she got on the right track and started feeling certain in her assumptions she rolled with them. Her answer had Dexter's body turn to ice, jaw clenching. Anger flashed through his eyes, he was sure of it, but he was quick to shadow his reaction, put back on his causal demeanor despite how truly pissed he was inside. The exact thing had happened to him by Emily, and Dex knew all too well of the suffers that were to hunt after the baby vampire if she remained alone.

"Sorry to hear," he said, pausing for a moment to look the girl over. "Why did he turn you?" Had she wanted this? Or was it much like Dex's situation and forced upon her? "Then promptly abandon you?" he added.

As she told him about the vampire that changed her, she noticed the change in him, but it only lasted a second. It was of anger, balzing his eyes before going back to a calm look. Why was he angry?

Vee decided to push herself up to stand. She didn't like looking up to him when she spoke. She gripped the tree that she had been pressed against before pushing herself up. She caught the sight of blood on her hand, dry and cracked by now. She looked away quickly, feeling sick. She moved her hands to her side to not see them and just tried to focus on his question.

"He came into my house and killed my father. I think it was because of a problem. I'm not sure," she started to explain. She barely knew the reason why, but just got an idea of what it could have been from the words the vampire said. "When we found him in his true nature he said he would change us, to keep us from talking. My mom... she faught... so he k-killed her." Vee choked up on her words. All the emotions she tried to burry away came flooding back. "My older sister changed immediately and I was so scared. I didn't know what to do, so I followed her. I didn't want to die." She tells him, her eyes glossy with tears as she looks at him. "He left us after that, and I struggled with what I am now. Me and my sister never got along before. She likes what she is... she even feeds on humans." Vee said in disgust. "I can't.. I won't. I can barely hurt a fly. I try not to feed for days.. but it hurts." Vee broke down. She slumped against the tree, burying her face in her bloody hands.

The little vampire began to spill her guts out to Dexter, telling him how her parents were murdered and that her and her sister were giving the chance to ‘live’ if they agreed to be turned. So ultimately, the baby vamp did pick this life. But who could blame her? Between an absolute death and a chance to live, even if it meant as a different sort of creature, most would pick the latter—some would even prefer it. Vampirism had its perks, after all, immortality being one of those.

Now that she was vampire, though, the lil’ one couldn’t control herself and her blood craze. Sad story, but a common one. She was a threat to all of his kind, and she really needed to be restrained; a lot of his kind would do the quick and most full-proof way of handling the situation. They’d kill her. But Dexter couldn’t help but feel bad for the kid. She’d been put in a lose-lose situation, abandoned after having picked an option, and now had to fend not only for herself but fend off the darkness within herself. It was defiantly the abandonment that caused Dex to feel sorry for the kid.

Then there was the other little fact that the girl’s sister was now out drinking from humans willy nilly. If she bit them, she had to be killing them completely or else they’d be turning just like her. So the girl’s sister was out there killing humans, and that could be just as much of a threat as the lil’ one in front of him. He needed this kid to help bring him not only to her sister, so he could snuff out that problem before it became one, but also help him track down the vampire who turned both of the sisters. And while he was at it, might as well try and help the baby vamp.

“Going without feeding is not a solution; it’s more threatening than just feeding,” Dexter explained, voice staying causal and distant of emotional connection to the situation. “Killing isn’t required to get your dose of blood; modern age and all. Usually a keeper will give his children access to whatever sources he has created, but in your case…” he trailed off for a moment before shaking his head a bit and continuing, “anyhow, what you need is a donor or two who want to serve you, who want to give you their blood.” He turned a little and started to walk around the vampire. “Get yourself cleaned up and meet me at the corner of Braxton and Welch, house 1143,” he instructed, not giving any further elaboration as he continued to walk away.

((Figured we could have her met up with him at some sorta vampire ‘nesting’ place of sorts—more like a blood den where she could get acquainted with some people she much needed to meet. Up for that?))

Vee felt weak, crying before him. She forced herself to stop, but it wasn't easy. She lifted her head up and looked at him as he spoke. Her cheeks streaked with tears, but she managed to stop.

Was it really a bad thing to try to starve herself? Still, she couldn't bring herself to feed. On any source, human or animal. But he was right. She needed help. She couldn't stay like this. What if she lost it one day, and hurt someone. Someone she loves too.

"A donor?" She asked. She couldn't believe the idea of someone actually wanted to give up their blood to a vampire. A monster. But still, she needed to figure out how to take care of her thirst. She moved to use her sleeve to whip the tears. She nodded okay to him as he moved. Braxton and Welch, house 1143. Vee looked down to her hands. They were still bloody, the color now a bit brown and cracked. "Okay.." she said to him as he walked away. The first thing she did was walk over to the edge of the waterfall before kneeling down. With that she used the water to wash of any sign of blood.

((Im totally up for it. Sounds like a good idea. Do we have this nesting place though?))
