So, we're gonna start off with a few characters (see second comment) and your going to add and subtract points. Like this...

We've had issues with this before, but I think it will particularly urgent for this one: what happens when two people post a response to the same message? We'd get conflicting totals.

Emily's is off because Fred was eliminated. Which throws off all the ones after. I think we need that ruling about what do when comments cross.
