Lucinda Clarke | 1 comments Hi Ceecee,
I gather we are not friends on Goodreads and I don't know how to add you, but I just wanted to say that I have read your book and have left a review on both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com. I could so totally relate, you take so much nonsense when you are a child because you believe you are to blame. And you will do ANYTHING to get your mother's love. I did not suffer as much as you did, but it's ongoing as my kids have a personality disorder like my Mum. But I suspect your mother was quite mentally disturbed. Did you ever check out her symptoms on the personality traits lists?

CeeCee James | 8 comments Lucinda, you are such a sweetie! *big hug* I never suspected she had a mental disorder until recently. There is a heavy brainwashing that comes with abuse, and although I've experienced so much healing, that brainwashing is the last part to resolve itself. So, no, I never have checked out her symptoms.

I am so sorry you suffered. The thing about pain, it's a great equalizer. I learned long ago pain leaves the same marks no matter how "bad" it was. I hope you've seen beauty for all your ashes too. I know it's hard.
