Hey Kit,
sorry for being MIA for the past month, but I really didn't feel like reading Henry V. ;) I've finished it now and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. All the overblown speeches and all of the fighting really bored me, and for some reason it didn't feel epic at all.
I have to stay that I thoroughly enjoyed what the Chorus had to offer, and also the Katherine-subplot was quite charming, but apart from that I wasn't the biggest fan of this play.
Have you already finished it? :)
Happy reading!

HAHAHA Kit, I feel youuuuu! I thought it was extremely boring, and I really don't have to discuss it in depth either, so no worries. ;)
If you want to we could try reading "Macbeth" or "King Lear" next? I really want to reread and properly appreciate both. ;) What do you think?

Okay, awesome! I need to catch up on some other buddy-reads, so would it be okay if we start at the beginning of September? :)
Hello! I just joined your group, and I first wanted to make sure you do want new members. I noticed your group is fairly small, so I thought you may already know one another outside of Goodreads. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't a stranger intruding on your group.I am interested in your group because I too have been reading through Shakespeare's plays recently. I began reading the plays in June, and I would like to talk to others who are doing likewise and who are willing to say they do not love Shakespeare.

Hey Holly,
feel free to join in on the fun. The more, the merrier. :) We will be reading Macbeth this weekend... but if you have thoughts on some of the plays we read before (eg Henry V, The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice) feel free to share them as well.

However, I think I'll need a bit more time to finish this play, so I would only be ready to discuss it next weekend or so. :) I hope that's okay!
