I got the idea to this when I realised today, Jane Austen has ALL the retellings, Agatha Christie has "none".
So.. fairy tales that people forget about or stories, which do YOU think would be great retold? which author isent a requirement but if you have anyone in mind go ahead.
doesent matter if the story has retellings, if you want more add it.

I really want a Mulan re-telling. It's one of my favorite Disney movies, and I think it will be cool if someone does a medieval re-telling of some sort. Doesn't need to be set in Asia, any re-telling would be cool.

Anne of Green Gables - I have actually fancied that I might try my hand at writing a modern day Anne but never started!

I had a plan for a beauty and the beast retelling.. might still write it, had a plan but never started it.. who knows its not too late

I like the idea of carrying on old folklore, myths, fables, legends, etc. So, I've started writing up short stories that follow along those styles. I'm going to keep writing more until I am satisfied with them, and then I am going to make a small book out of it. It may not be retelling of it, as I'm afraid of the aspect of plagiarism, but I like this idea!

Old stories need to continue being told, because they have a ring of truth about them.
