June landed quietly, shifting back into a human. She was tired from her flight and decided to sit down on the bench. June looked out across the water, enjoying the effect it had in the dark and how it reflected the half-moons light.

Kane watches completely silent and hidden with conflicted emotions. She was his childhood playmate- but that didn't matter now- she'd betrayed him.

Lyn glanced at Kane quickly, tapping him on the shoulder and mouthing, 'How should we do this?'

June looked out over the water, clueless to the danger. She sighed, leaning back and stretched her arms out, out of habit.

Kane looks back at her and mouths, "Circle around and I'll distract her- take her out from behind."he whispers softly in her ear. He waits for her to position herself on the other side of June.

Lyn quietly moved around, keeping to the edges of the forest but careful not to step on any leaves or twigs. Once she was in a good position she nodded to Kane.

June pulled her jacket closer around her as a breeze swept across the pond. She let her mind wander.

((Just giving a fair warning, she is going to fight back.... don't be afraid to hurt her... and Lyn may or may not have some troubles... ;) ))

"June!" Kane calls stepping out from his spot.

Lyn watched carefully, waiting for her opportunity to move foreward. She drew her knife, ready to hit the other girl with the hilt.

June stood quickly at his call, but she didn't turn around. She just stood there for a moment, she knew that voice... she whirled around quickly, finding his face quickly, "Kane?," She whispered. June couldn't believe her eyes.

Kane decides not to alert her to violence and lure her closer and let Lyn sneak up.
Kane just nods and looks at her- honestly he wasn't sure he could move if he wanted to. He was at war with himself- he didn't care that he was seeing her for the first time in years. He didn't care that she betrayed him anymore. She was the enemy. Who cared what she thought anyway.
"Hi." he manages to say.

Lyn watches, confused, did Kane know her? She paused for a moment, before preparing to move foreword.

June watched him for a second, her eyes growing wide, tears gathering. She sobbed and ran quickly over to him, practically running into him she hugged him tightly, "I can't believe it!" she sobbed, "I thought..."

She betrayed you- she betrayed you- she betrayed you he reminds himself. He looks over June's shoulder- not hugging her back and nods for Lyn to knock her out.

Lyn was shocked, she felt a small surge of jealousy as she watched the other girl hug Kane. She quickly, but cautiously made her way out of her cover and behind the girl, June.

June pulled back slightly and looked Kane in the eye, she looked at him suspiciously, "You smell different, Kane."

((Tiger senses, owl eyes.... ))

"I am different." he says quietly he couldn't manage too many words.

Lyn was only a few feet behind June. She brought her knife up carefully...

June laughed, relieved. She reached up, put her hand behind Kane's head, and kissed him quickly. June spun around and nearly ran into Lyn. Shocked, she reacted quickly, nocking the knife out of Lyn's hand and kicking her feet out from under her.

Kane stands for a moment in shock unable to believe she'd just kissed him. While June's back is turned he takes out his own knife and quickly tries to knock her out.

Lyn kicks at June and nocks her upward with her knees, so that Kane's dagger hit June's shoulder instead.

June rolls off the other girl and stands quickly, whirling to see Kane. The mental pain was visible in her eyes as she clutched her bruised shoulder, "Tell me that was an accident, Kane."

Kane stares at her, "Things have changed June. We've both changed." He brings the hilt of his dagger up and hits her head knocking her out cold. Don't feel guilty

Lyn stands quickly, her mind racing. She gritted her teeth and kicked the girl on the ground, even though she was already out, kicking her felt good. Lyn went back and picked up her knife, muttering how much she disliked the other girl. "What? Was? That?", she asked Kane slowly.

Kane swallows, "I used to know her- not anymore- let's just get her back." he frowns.

Lyn shook her head, pinching the bridge of her nose to stop the headache from developing, "Fine."

"You alright?" Kane asks confused.

"No." Lyn answers. She was disturbed by this girl, she immediately began to craft some sappy love history that the two might have had, in her mind.

"Did you get hurt?" he asks slightly concerned- had his dagger hit her?

Lyn took a deep breath, "No." She took one step and kicked the other girl again, hearing ribs crack.

"Woah woah. It's going to be harder to carry her if her insides are mashed in." he says with a frown. "Do you know her?" he asks wondering why she hated her so much.

Lyn managed a fake smile, "No." Her eyes glittered dangerously.

"Oh...okay." he says giving her a weird look, "So are you going to help me carry her back before someone notices or what?"

Lyn rolled her eyes, and grabbed June's dagger from the ground, shoving it into her own belt. Lyn briefly considered kicking her again, then thought against it, moving around the girl again.

Kane helps her lift June and carry her back.

alyss walks over and takes a deep breath of the fresh air.

Hunter morphed back into a human, after Scout slipped off his back. Scout gave him back his weapon, and adjusted the water skin at her belt. She grinned; of all the places the idiotic officer could be, it was a pond. How... lucky. She nodded quickly at Hunter, who shrunk down into the form of a small dragonfly. She then turned to Alyss.

"Alright. So, I suppose you're going track this idiot down. To do it, you'll need this." She handed Alyss a small scrap of clothing. "It should have his scent on it. I'm sending Hunter with you," she added, nodding at the little dragonfly. "He can't track well in this form, but he's going to follow you, just in case someone attacks you. I'll be in the treeline, waiting for the two of you to return. If you take more than twenty minutes, I'm going in."

" ok i'm going to change though " she said changing into a german shephard and heading off.

Scout nodded. agreement.

Hunter flew alongside the dog, keeping as low to the ground and inconspicuous as he could.

(( what now? whos the guard? ))

((I could be the guard if you like. I'm thinking maybe the officer has like... three or so bodyguards?))

alyss looked at hunter and barked lightly. she turned to the left and continued on.

Hunter nodded- well, the best he could, being a tiny bug- and followed her, making sure to stay about three feet behind. All of a sudden, there was a rustling in the trees.

A tall, muscular man stepped out of the shadows, his eyebrows knitted into a cruel glare. "Well, hello, li'l doggy," he smirked menacingly. He raised a hand, and a wisp of flame appeared in his palm.

alyss changed took out her sword and attacked the man.

The man yelled out for reinforcements as he jumped back, narrowly avoiding the swing of the blade. Two equally strong-looking men appeared behind him: one holding a gun, and one holding a sword.

Hunter saw the disadvantage, and quickly morphed back into a human, reaching behind his back and removing both swords from their sheaths.

alyss changed back to a dog and bit the man with a gun. then changed back into a human swinging her sword at the other two men.

The gun-toting guard cursed, and dropped his weapon, rubbing the spot where Alyss had bit him. Hunter was upon him in less than a second, choking the guard into submission with one sword positioned at his neck for leverage, but not before another of the men snatched the gun up once more. The final man, unfortunate enough to have been sliced on the bicep by Alyss's sword, howled in pain, and shot a fireball from his good hand at her.

alyss changed into a dog and just barely missed the fire ball. she turned back into a human fought with her sword again.

Hunter held up the guard in front of him as protection from the now-gun-toting guard, his sword resting at the man's throat. The guard with the gun froze for a second, then knit his brows together and shot. The bullet went through the first guard's chest, and burrowed its way into Hunter's left shoulder. He blinked, then let the dead guard slide from his grip. He painfully returned his left sword to its sheath. He's right-handed, anyway.

The gun-toting guard grinned, and aimed his gun at Hunter once more, while the fireball-shooting guard tried his best once more to avoid her flashing blade.

alyss watched as hunter was shot. she swung her blade at the man with the gun.

The man with the gun grunted and dropped the gun as the sword sliced a large gash into his right arm. Hunter ran over to the two, holding his shoulder, and kicked the gun away from the man. The other guard sent another fireball hurtling at the two of them.
