A boy (15 years old) who tells tall stories finds out that his absentee father lived a lie - he was an undercover policeman who formed a relationship with his mother to spy on environmental activists. Issues of identity theft, environmental activism, soccer, friendship, lying, and step-fathers. This is not a grim book as there are touches of humour and compassion throughout. Published by Barrington Stoke. Suitable for intermediate, very short chapters. I enjoyed it.
