Well, I created this thread last week while I had a bad connection and just realized it never posted! *sigh*


Josen (josens) | 696 comments I'm actually done with the book. :) BUT I listened to it and I was too far in before I realized it was the abridged version. :(

As for first impressions, I did find myself not wanting to leave the car so I could listen to more of it. Lol!

Ugh, I hate when I find out it is abridged after it is too late. (Happened to me with Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West)

I will get the other threads up soon so that we can discuss more!

Vicki Willis Why do they even make abridged forms? That seems silly to me. Have you ever met a person who preferred those??

Usually I cannot imagine what could be left out!


Josen (josens) | 696 comments Well that's what I wonder. Exactly, what would you take out? Unless you have a verbose author who spends a lot of time on the landscape description or something, lol! I don't know what sections you would remove.
