When he was cursed, he grew into a man, lost Wendey and became a not-so-kind person. He took in Christina as his own, and since let her do whatever she wanted.

She became the judge of Disneybrooke and has since had a grudge for mortal Ursula, while having no memory of her former life. She is the only person who attempted to run for mayor against Ursula. However, she failed. (Likely because many people fear or don't trust her)
