What a great book - suspenseful without being too scary. Suitable for intermediate age students. Themes of friendship, hope, compassion, ingenuity. And the cover is great - I didn't appreciate it fully until I finished the book. (Although my cover is different from the Goodreads one - yellow background). Also covers mental illness (not being able to leave her room).

Hi Marianne, I also thought this was a great book and very suitable for the intermediate age group. It has been very popular here.
