When Tom's big brother decides to become an evil scientist, his first experiment involves dunking Frankie the goldfish into toxic green gunk. Tom knows that there is only one thing to do: zap the fish with a battery and bring him back to life! But now he's a big fat zombie goldfish with hypnotic powers and he's out for revenge!

I didn't enjoy this book as much - granted, I'm not into zombies. I was worried about whether or not kids would be able to tell this was fantasy in the beginning, but it got more extreme as the book when on, so those fears were abated. I think this book will appeal to boys and reluctant readers. I also like that the main character's best friend is Indian with an Indian name and mentions some cultural elements like packing samosas for lunch. It wasn't my favorite, but it won't hurt my feelings to recommend to some kids. I would recommend for fourth grade reading level.
