Thanks. I've started listening to The Bane Chronicles short stories in my car. But I may choose one of the others to read if it seems to be taking me too long to finish it that way.

Lusie, I've landed on your property again. I enjoyed Caleb's Crossing, which you chose for me when I landed on your Great Pumbpkin property.

Could you pick 3 books for me from my shelf ?

message 17: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Susan :) Glad to hear you enjoyed that book!

Shine by Lauren Myracle - beautiful cover
Froi of the Exiles (Lumatere Chronicles, #2) by Melina Marchetta - I love fantasy and this sounds good.
The Memory of Earth (Homecoming, #1) by Orson Scott Card - because this is a different genre than the other two.

message 18: by Susan (new)

Susan | 3756 comments Mod
Thanks, Lusie.

You should definitely try the Froi/Lumatere series if you like fantasy. But start with the first one, of course.

In fact, I've never read anything by Melina Marcheta that's I didn't enjoy. She's Australian, and sometimes hard to find in the US. But definitely worth it.

message 19: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I think I checked a few years ago and could only get hold of the first book. The cover looks familiar. I'll have to check again if I now can get the other books as well.

The second time you've picked this for me on this spot so it'll have to be this one then ;p

message 28: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments I did? lol Yes you are right. I just really love that cover.

As from today I'm late with reading my book, so my properties will be for sale.

LaurLa's Bookopoly Shelf

message 30: by Lisette (new)

Lisette (illusie) | 3233 comments Hi Laurla!
The Color of Destiny - I like this cover
Kiss of a Demon King - I have chosen this one because you are already so far into the series!
Thrill Me to Death - this sounds like it could be good. How many starts did you give the first book of the series? It might be something for me.

I'm late with finishing my book, so I'm not sure if that means my properties will be for sale..I think it will but I'm sure Tien will let us know.

message 31: by LaurLa (new)

LaurLa | 1391 comments Thanks for the picks Lusie! I'm going with Kiss of a Demon King because, well I started it on the way to work today!

I did like Kill Me Twice but it's been over a year and I can't say it's stuck with me. But I trust my rating :-)
