Q: Can you claim face claims from the TV show?
A: No, it'll be too confusing. The same applies to the movie.

Q: Can you claim canon characters?
A: No, we expect you to create your own original characters.

Q: Do Downworlders have to be part of a pack/clan/court?
A: No, then can be unaffiliated if you wish.

Q: Can parabatai fall in love?
A: Yes but there's consequences. Mutually, anyway. If you haven't read Lord of Shadows and don't mind mild-ish spoilers, direct from Cassandra Clare herself. This is not the case with unrequited love between parabatai. Here's another thing related to it.

This may be a stupid question but what is difference between a pack and a clan?

A pack is a group of werewolves and a clan is a group of Vampires

May I make a warlock that's not on the claims list- i.e one that's not a high warlock?

Yes you can. The high warlocks is just another name for the leading warlock in that city

when you claim a family name, you are the only one who can make members of that family.

Do Shadowhunters need to be part of one of the families? If not what if they the a Head of an Institute?

If they are Head of the Institure, then they must be apart of at least one of the families. You can make your own Shadowhunter name using the Shadowhunter Codex, if you do not wish to use one of the given names listed.

So, where do we post our characters to get approval? The finished character threads say post 'finished and approved characters' in those. Do we just leave them in the workshop and ask to get them looked at?

how much do the canon characters/events involved on the plot? for example, do the whole valentine going rouge and those which followed occured at some point on/before this RP and we can mention it or are we going to exclude those specific events/characters and just go with technical canon stuffs?
