A small sandwich shop. Run by Gary

Christina walked into the sandwich shop. "What do you need me to do father?" Christina had taken to calling Gary her father as he had raised her since birth.

Gary grunted slightly. "How about you... Change the sandwich of the day over there." He pointed to the chalkboard by the door.

Christina switched the sandwich of the day from meatball sub to a parmesan special. "Done" she sighed. "Now what" she hated being bossed around by her father but it was part of the deal.

"Set up the tables, please." Gary smiled very slightly and went to the cash register. Then, Judge Valrocks walked in.

"Okay" she set to work immediately. She then noticed the judge. "Hello Ms. Valrocks" She looked up from wherr she was. She put her head back down and set up the rest of the tables.

"You would do better to say 'Good Morning' to me, Christina." Cierra looked at Gary. "Do you allow her to talk to her higher ups like this?" She demanded. Gary shrugged and didn't answer.

Christina sighed. "Good morning Ms. Valrocks" she said. She cursed under her breath. The judge was always making her life horrible. She turned around to look at Gary. She gave him a look saying "Why?"

Gary sighed and put on a small smile. "What do you want, Judge?" Cierra looked the menu. "How about a Ceaser Salad with a diet lemonade... Please." She then turned around. "And you, Christina, can make me a Cherry Pie."

"Great" Christina muttered to herself. She started to prepare the pie. She hated making pies, and the judge knew that. "Coming right up. Cierra" She knew it annoyed the judge when she was called by her first name. She placed a slight grin on her face, and continued making the pie. She finished and handed it to Cierra. Gary's deli was known for their good hand made pies.

Cierra's face went red. "Don't you dare call me that again. I am Judge Valrocks, is that clear, child?"
Gary was at Cierra's side a second later. "What's the problem here? Christina?"

"Of course it's me again" She said. "I just called Cierra by her name. Cierra" she pronounced each syllable as its own word just to piss off the judge.

Cierra balled his fists and exhaled in frustration. "I told you she should have gone to our Boarding School. But you said 'Oh, no. She's fine. An angel, even.' Ugh, I swear she will be punished for her idiotic behavior."
Gary step up to Cierra's face, a serious look on his face. "Get out. Now." He said venomously. Outraged and taken aback, Judge stormed out. "Are you okay, Christina?" Gary asked calmly.

"Of course not!" she said. She sat at a table in the back by herself. She noticed Gary advancing toward her. "Don't come near me!" she yelled. She put her head on the table. The judge made her feel like nothing. It was as if she was born to hate Christina. She might as well have started a club called Christina Haters International.

Gary ignored her and sat across from Christina anyways. "You're obviously in pain. Come on, get up."

Christina stood up slowly. "Gary, this wasn't part of the deal. you said you would not get in my life" She turned around and stormed out of the shop.
