━━━━━━━━━  [   HOUSE 1143  ]  ━━━━━━━━━

big and beautiful, on the corner of braxton and welch, house 1143 stands. with a mix of modern and victorian style, the place looks the part of either era and often draws the eyes of tourist, the owners even offering a tour of their lovely, historical a few oh so lucky people. the lovely decor and fancy visitors are often the last thing these 'lucky' few end up seeing in their humanly life. the place is as alluring, deceiving, and dangerous as those who regular the home. vampires, home 1143 is owned and kept up and going by vampires. it has become a nest, of sorts, where their kind can come to find both willing and not so willing sources of food to their very specific diet. they have managed to draw no attraction to their doings from the outside world, and they plan to keep it as such.

There was no stench of blood, no mangled bodies hanging from the ceiling or decorating the walls. This nest, this home, it was above the filthy ways of the wilder of the vampire species. House 1143, as it was dubbed by the vampire kind who knew of it, was typically a place where an invitation was needed. If you didn’t know somebody who knew somebody to get themselves in, then you were probably not going to be welcomed with open arms. You’d be allowed in, of course, because the owners were very kind, but you would be on a very tight leash and not have access to any of the finer activities available to the actual guests until you impress someone.

Dexter had gotten his invite a seven decades back, now, and this was his first return since the last time he’d made his way to New Orleans twenty or so years ago. It wasn’t often he himself extended an invite House 1143, but that poor, doe eyed, self-hating newborn near the waterfall, she needed help. There was bound to be someone who wanted to do some charity work. They liked their toys and pets in this place, and a newborn could be just the thing someone was dying for but didn’t want to make themselves. If he got lucky, he could pawn her off on someone after getting more info on her sister and the vamp who turned them both. She needed someone who would be highly attentive and uplifting; she defiantly didn’t need someone like him. He was hardly either of those things nowadays unless there was a reason behind it. He didn’t have a reason to be kind to this baby vamp, but he would at least extend the first generosity she had probably had since she had turned.

He waited inside the home, making small talk with old ‘friends’, occasionally glancing around to see if any new faces had arrived, one that was just familiar. She may not even show. But still, he’d wait for a while.

Braxton and Welch, house 1143. Lucky for her, Vee still remembers the place that vampire- who she still hadn't learned his name- had told her to go to. But of course that had been after she washed the blood off her hands and face and going home to change into clean clothes. She was also lucky to not have found her sister home. She didn't like to run into her.

Now, dressed in white shorts and a black crop top, Vee walked up the sidewalk and headed to the doors of the place. She couldn't help but feel anxious. Who knew what this place held. Blood. Dead bodies. Darkness. Maybe she was stereotyping, but who could blame her. Being a vampire hasn't been a thrilling thing for her.

But one thing she noticed as her eyes scanned the place was how beautiful it looked from outside. The architecture especially. It was enough to draw the eyes of passers.

Once at the door, Vee stopped and stared at it. Ever since she left her house, she had a bad feeling in her stomach at the idea of actually feeding off of someone. She didn't like it, but still, she came here.

After inhaling- which she knew was pointless- Vee opened the door. Wait... was I supposed to knock? Before she could answer that, Vee was already inside.
