Bree (breesc23) | 10 comments Never read it but added it to my tbr between 2015-2016. MC is a girl. Think the city was New York. Can't recall, if any, what fairytale it's based on. I believe the fantasy world literally took over the modern world city somehow. And this exiled prince is supposed to help mc save the world/city

Your GR tbr? Can you look through that shelf?

Bree (breesc23) | 10 comments No I have over 2500 books it would take too long

Tathariell | 173 comments Slight possibility it could be Tinker? Pittsburgh (not New York) is swapped into fairyland every month. Main character is a genius mechanic, she saves an elf's life and he turns out to be a kind of prince. Adventures abound, including saving both worlds.

Unfortunately, that's not it. But o did add it to my tbr shelf.

Martini (shakenorstirred) | 215 comments Sounds a bit like The Child Thief, which is based on Peter Pan, but the mc is male.

Not The Child Thief.

I think this story I'm thinking about might have a ice or snowy setting. Could be the fairytale the snow queen.

I've tried looking through my shelves but haven't found it. Not sure if o actually added it.

Mir | 805 comments Sounds a bit like The City's Son, but I think that is London not NYC.

Bree (breesc23) | 10 comments No that's not it. But it does sound like it. Hopefully I'm not mixing two books, which Is possible

Bree (breesc23) | 10 comments I did not find it, but if you are in charge of clearing/closing old posts that's fine to do so.

Bree (breesc23) | 10 comments and actually, looking through suggestions again, I do think it's The City's Son and some other book I may have intermingled it with. So, thanks!

Here's the Google Books preview of The City's Son by Tom Pollock - Mir's suggestion:

https://books.google.com/books?id=tpA...
