Never read it but added it to my tbr between 2015-2016. MC is a girl. Think the city was New York. Can't recall, if any, what fairytale it's based on. I believe the fantasy world literally took over the modern world city somehow. And this exiled prince is supposed to help mc save the world/city

No I have over 2500 books it would take too long
Slight possibility it could be Tinker? Pittsburgh (not New York) is swapped into fairyland every month. Main character is a genius mechanic, she saves an elf's life and he turns out to be a kind of prince. Adventures abound, including saving both worlds.

No that's not it. But it does sound like it. Hopefully I'm not mixing two books, which Is possible
