Geoff (geoffgreer) Please keep all discussion and speculation to the events of Chapters 18-24.

Geoff (geoffgreer) -Very little happened to Raithe and Mawyndule in this part of the novel. The Gula-Rhunes seem to be an ill-tempered bunch. Nyphron’s arguments for himself being Keenig were sound, too bad he got shot down. He was right there are too many petty squabbles between the existing chieftains. And Mawyndule continues to be even-keeled with his new Grey Cloak friends. I wonder who he will choose for the junior position.

-The adventure to slay the demon has gone about as well as you’d expect so far. I understand the pain that Arion suffers when performing the Art and that Suri may be very powerful, but this trial-by-fire style of teaching seems so dangerous to the group. There’s no Plan B (no offense to Moya & Persephone valiantly holding swords).

Of course the chapter I really wanted to talk about, is the first one of the next section.

I do find it interesting that Mawyndulane's father is ready to leave the Rhunes alone. Will they end up provoking the war they thought was inevitable?

This book has a bit of a fellowship of the ring vibe to me. Plus a bit of Star Wars. It seems like Arion may end up dying to save her young Padawan. Or maybe just prolonging her death?

I am curious to see how the rest of this turns out.
