What does it take to prepare a pool noodle? I'm just curious. Are you oiling it or something? :-P

It needed some streching (and oiling is a very good idea, now you mention it), since it had been dormant during winter. You wouldn't want your pool noodle to get a crick in its back, right? ;-) :-D

I can see you lounging next to the pool in your fashionable Panama hat next to the pool already. :-D How about some ice cream?

LOL. Now I'm imagining oil in the pool water along with the glitter. Oh my!

Woo hoo!

I can help you make it. I don't think Josh will mind borrowing her kitchen... Let's see... What do we need for that? Do you want it to be Easy Cheese flavored, Antonella?

:-D :-D :-D

Oooh, very nice! Last time i had homemade ice cream was years ago and it was avocado ice cream, which turned out to be a lovely thing. But chocolate always works ;-)

message 16: by KC (new)

KC | 4897 comments I'll bring tiramisu and blueberry pie.

message 17: by Trio (new)

Trio | 670 comments avocado ice cream?

I put a half an avocado in my smoothies some times and it's delicious, so ice cream, maybe I'll give it a try.

I'm not joking: I felt slightly sick when I read this, just two seconds, but still...;-).

Avocado ice cream, on the other side, I would be open for a try...

Yeah, rainy and chilly here too. What happened to summer?!

My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. I'll make sure we have some of that on hand. :-)

Vanilla ice cream, yes - but you can skip the sprinkles on mine.

Let’s get this party started! *throws glitter*

So, here’s how it works: We’ll be posting one party post per day from Wednesday 26th (today!) until Sunday, July 30th. Randomly drawn winners will be posted here next Monday, July 31st.

We will be making the same party posts on Josh’s Facebook Fan Page so that also those readers will have an opportunity to take part in all the fun and games. There will be stellar prizes like ebooks, print books and mugs (in both GR and FB)! Here on GR we’ll be giving away:

- One JL Short Stories: 2007 - 2013 ebook OR Sweet Spot: The Petit Mort Stories ebook (winner gets to choose which)
- One In Sunshine or in Shadow: Short Stories, Volume 1 print book
- One JL short story mug: Perfect Day OR Heart Trouble (winner gets to choose which)

Everyone who comments in the party topic will be included into prize drawing. Oh, and did you spot a theme there in our prize list by any chance…? :-D

Here’s your first party task: Pick out your Fanyon party name:

1. The color of your shirt.
2. Take one word (any word) from the book title of the last Josh Lanyon book you read (or reread).
3. Combine these two and you’ll get your party name.

Oops, I need to pay closer attention to the directions (what I ask my students to do). ; )

2. Take one word (any word) from the book title of the last Josh Lanyon book you read (or reread).

Still reading/listening to Blood Heat today, so back to...

Purple Poison? Old Yeller? Urgh... ; (

message 32: by Clary (new)

Clary | 179 comments I was re-reading Old Poison this morning and I'm wearing a taupe colored silk blouse over a black silk skirt and an apricot colored cotton sweater. Taupe is boring so I'm going with

Apricot Poison

p.s. I should mention that I've always been a rule-breaker.

Here's to you all! -- everyone drink!
