Hi, Sydney. Welcome to the group! I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter books, too, but I have to admit that I never finished the Chronicles of Narnia. I should probably add them to my always-growing list. Which one is your favorite?

Kim (kimmorrow) | 1 comments Hi All, My name is Kim M. I live in Cincinnati, OH (from Georgia). I don't have a "favorite" book but Pride and Prejudice would probably be it if I was forced to pick. I am happiest when I am running, reading or hanging out with my close friends.

message 17: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth T | 2 comments Hi
My name is Elizabeth T.
I live in Kansas City, MO.
I don't have a favorite, I have read to many books. I would have to go with the True Calling Series(only on Amazon) or Twilight. My favorite overall genre is either dystopia with a little romance or historical fiction.
For a fun fact, my step-dad is from Norway. I am also learning both Norsk(Norwegian) and ASL(American Sign Language). I can also name nearly every Greek, Roman, and Norse God. There are too many Egyptians. I got a 23 on the ACT in 7th grade, and yes Iwas in a room with high schoolers, it wasn't online. When we got the scores back the district was bragging about at 23.9 average.
Sorry for the extra info. Sorry if I seem to be bragging, I have Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism, and am not good in social situations when it comes to what is appropriate.

Hey, Zoe! Welcome to the Bee's Bookshelf! The Selection Series is so good! America is such a relatable character, and I'm so happy that Kiera Cass decided to extend the original trilogy by two books. Did you like the America-centered books better or the Eadlyn-focused ones?

My name is Gail Johnson, Ph.D. Candidate, ABD. Currently, I'm working on my Ph.D. in Advanced Accounting which is a lot of reading of financial reports. On my day job I moniter some federal grants which again, are reconciliation reports. I love numbers, they do not lie. Nonetheless, i still like to find time to read a "who done it" or a Harry Potter book. A fun fact about me I like to cook and play chess with my computer. Take care for now.

message 43: by Nancy (new)

Nancy | 2 comments Hello; my name is Nancy.
I liked Hook's Revenge. I finished it recently, and I like that it shows emotion as strength, not weakness. It also deals with gender stereotypes, a big issue today.
My favorite words were the funny pirate terms, like "bawdy sea chantey," "cat-o'-nine-tails," and "dog-livered landlubber." I also like the words "apoplectic" and "impertinent."
I live in Ohio.
My favorite book series is Harry Potter because it has lots of interesting and creative characters. I also like the Land of Stories series, Harriet the Spy, and the Ramona Quimby books. Some of my favorite words are "euphoria," "didgeridoo," "gravitas," and "exuberant."
