That's a good question Kenneth. I have read almost all of the Sigma Force books, and yes I did read them in order. However, I am one of those people that needs to do that with every fiber of my being. I never, ever read a series out of order. I am too afraid of missing out on something important, to jump around like that. In this series the characters do evolve from book to book, and I enjoyed following the changes. Some characters leave and return in later books, which you might not realize if you don't read them in order. That being said, I know many who have read them out of order and enjoyed them just as well. It's just really all about personal preference. I hope you will enjoy them whatever order you choose!
ThanksI was going to start with #12 (7th plague) then I was hoping to find the first one and go forward from there since I just acquired the last I was missing other than sandstorm. Or go 12/13 then hope to find the first.

They lie between Glasgow and Edinburgh) . Any further afield and you have to order and wait or choose a different path.
It's abasically 2 series. The series up to Bloodline and the series after. As major things happen. In Bloodline. So I would advise if you can't read them in order to focus on reading all of them pre bloodline making sure you read bloodline in it's proper place #8 I think. Then you could probably go back out of order post bloodline.
Actually it may be the book following bloodline that has the major events. Maybe I would say read bloodline and the next book in their appropriate places to be safe. Someday I'll reread the whole series like when it's completed
On March 10th, 2020, the Sigma Force gang is set to return in The Last Odyssey, the latest thriller from New York Times bestselling author James Rollins. And I’m thinking of going to one of the book signings once released.https://therealbookspy.com/2019/06/17...

So let's see what the group thinks.
