Just wanted to share a special anniversary of mine. Five years ago today, I bought my first, and only, house. When I moved in, I had 4977 items in my library. Today, I have 10459 items. Since I moved in, my collection has more than doubled! Gotta admit, almost unbelievable.

Betsy Congratulations on the house. I must admit I am amazed you know exactly how many books you have!

Ashley (age1213) | 24 comments Congrats! My fiancé and I bought our first house in January, one of the guest rooms is my own personal library! I love being able to walk in and see all my books, I haven't even finished unpacking all my boxes yet, I keep getting distracted!

Lin | 266 comments Since Joseph works at a library, I am not surprised at all that he knows how many books he has. What would surprise me is he died this have them set with a csrd catalog on the Dewey decimal system. Lol. That was why I joined Goodreads. So I could keep up with not only the books I have read but also the books I own and what format they are in.

Karen M | 418 comments Congratulation! I'm at 2-1/2 years with my condo. Wish I had more room for books but I am, maybe, going to get a third bookcase, emphasis on maybe.

This is why I joined Goodreads to, before I had binders I was using trying to keep track and the paper was getting expensive.

Melissa | 363 comments I would love to have a library in my house, an actual room library not just stacks of books along the walls and stuffed in every nook and cranny I can find.

Wouldn't we all.
Marry the Beast and get that library, as the meme goes.

When I went looking for my house, the main thing I looked at was how many rooms and how many walls it had for bookcases. I have books in pretty much every room in the house, the living room, the dining room, the office, the basement, the master bedroom, and one of the extra bedrooms. The only place I don't have books is the other extra bedroom where I sleep and the kitchen and two bathrooms. And that could still change! ;-) I don't have a library in my home, my home is a library! :-)

Erin *Proud Book Hoarder* (erinpaperbackstash) That's amazing Joseph. And a great feeling :)
