Shelley Crowley | 5 comments When vampires were ‘outed’ in the year 2020, the humans attempted to alter their diet to ensure their safety. This resulted in a worldwide bloodbath known as the Rage. Now, fourteen years on and the world has been torn apart and rebuilt from the ground up to accommodate the vampires unholy desire for human blood.

But despite the constant push of the Equal Rights Movement, vampires are still being depicted as the ruthless, rabid monsters they had become in the months of the Rage. Many humans still oppose their presence and do not agree with the forced peaceful coexistence.

One person who shares this belief is a young scientist named Nico Bergan. Doctor Bergan wants to return the world to its former glory. His way of achieving this goal… creating a cure for vampirism.

Cool! Sounds like Daybreakers meets True Blood. Is that something I can find on Amazon or someplace else? I don't see a link listed there.

Shelley Crowley | 5 comments Here's the link to the ebook version: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B073... . I've just altered the blurb of the paperback version so it's not back up on Amazon yet but I can let you know when it is if you want :)

I'm a big fan of True Blood and it is where I got the Maker/Progeny part from, I thought the relationship dynamic was so fascinating. I'm yet to watch Daybreakers, it is on my list. I've been told I'd enjoy it haha.

Cool, thanks. I don't read books in digital format (cause I'm kinda old school...LOL), so I'll have to have to wait for the paperback version to go back on Amazon.

Yeah, Daybreakers is pretty decent. Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe, lots of cool action. It should have gotten more credit than it it did when it came out.

Shelley Crowley | 5 comments I know what you mean, I don't like brooks either. They're handy for travelling but it's not the same as holding a physical book in your hands. And I know they say don't judge a book by its cover but I'm a sucker for a beautiful book cover and you lose that with ebooks too! The Progeny should be back up in paperback in a day or two, I'll let you know :)

Oh, those are my thoughts exactly. I like to hold a book in my hands and look at it. LOL. What you said about covers makes the most sense. I love good cover art. Like, if you choose to read a book that is a classic....there are almost two dozen different covers to choose from with beautiful art on it. "Yeah, I gotta have the copy with that cover on it.". That's what I just did when I bought a copy of 1984 by George Orwell.

1984 is another novel everyone raves about but I didn't like. But then again, it's not my kind of thing so I don't know why I read it in the first place haha.
