My home town has an annual event, Off The Shelf, that celebrated its 25th anniversary last year.
Run largely by the two universities, this year's event is from 7th to 28th October. Very few events have been announced as yet for this year, but it is the usual mix of author talk, discussions, along with cultural and artistic projects.
